I have personally seen the Honda CRV copy in china. Externally it looks pretty much the same but the mechanicals are as far as you can get, leaf springs vs coil springs.

I just saw one of these china-made vehicles at the Fort today. It was a pick-up that looked strangely like the Isuzu D-max, but on stilts - as in lifted as high as a Hilux but with puny wheels. I thought it was one of those things made out of someone's backyard, the only difference being it was fully painted. The rear said "NEXUS" in really bold letters. Not very impressive even from afar.

July 23rd, 2007 12:15 AM #10he-he. dito nga mga ka-tsikot, ang daming uri ng pick-ups. merong TAYOAUTO (Toyota?), DANYA (Dyna?), BRENGO (?).
Pero mga 3 yeras ko na nakikita tumatakbo ito dito, kung kargahan pa, sus halos deretso na ang leaf spring, pero as of now, going strong pa rin.
Ayos sumabay pa sa Greenbelt 1.
