    If modified:

Sentra B14 with SR20DE with SAFC or piggyback programmable ECU and some dyno tuning time.

You can buy one with SR20DE already installed at P155,000

BTW, the car in the pic is already sold but you can check the Sentra car club forums for other listings.

The question is what your qualifications are... minimum age... whether it has to be the stock engine... etcetera... and then... how much above that you're willing to spend to hit 160 whp. And what dyno you want to hit 160whp on. Autotechnika's is very generous... because the extra driveline drag from the wheels is eliminated. Autoplus's is very stingy... the inertial roller is also affected by wheel size and slip. Speedlab's is between the two... but closer to Autoplus in terms of readings.

A Sentra with an SR20 swap can hit 150 whp with relatively simply mods, as per Ghosthunter's car, 160 whp will take cams, some headwork and stiffer valvesprings.

A Corolla with a Blacktop 20V 4AGE can probably get to 160 whp with a little less work... but the blacktop is reportedly a little more difficult to tune with a piggyback.

A Honda with a B16 can hit 150 even before you get engine management mods. It can hit 160 whp relatively easily, but costs more.

A Sentra with an SR20VE swap can make a heck of a lot more... around 170 whp stock and 190-200 whp modified, and will cost just the same as an old Civic with a B16A swap.

A Mitsubishi with a 2.0 V6 swap makes more than 150 whp... no mods. Dean of the local mitsubishi club had his car dyno'd at 150 whp... still over 1000 rpm from the redline, with a lifting headgasket... with an automatic transmission.. Terrific engine... kinda sucky 4-speed automatic. With a manual, it would probably be 160-170 whp stock.

Oh... and the Mitsubishi V6 sounds wonderful. :hysterical:

Beyond those choices... puro mahal na... a Civic with a Type-R K20 will make 190 whp... no other modifications. But the engine itself costs more than most of the car projects listed above. A Lynx with the JDM 2.5 liter Mazda V6 can also make 170-180 whp... with lots more torque than these other engines, but nobody has done this swap yet... though I've seen someone try this swap on a 626.

    Nope... 160hp is NOT 160whp.

My Sentra dishes out over 150 Wheel HP which is more than 160 hp of stock Civic SiR.

cheapest car than can make 160whp
