Pitbullz.

may nagsabi sa taas na mas maluwag daw yung charade sa kia pride cd-5? i'm not so sure about that gawa ng yung kia pride, sa tingin ko, ay halos kasing luwag na nung crv namin (1st gen)!! my wife used to drive one, and pag sa likod ka umupo, you can move your legs around freely...ganun kaluwag yung legroom. not sure about the charade, never rode in one, pero it looks like a tight squeeze back there. two-door pa.
IMO, get the kia. no offense to the charade owners ha, pero the stopped making the charade in 1997-1998. kia prides were still in production as late as last year. which means, more parts, and you can get cheap units, even the relatively fresh ones (1999-2004).
mahal ba to or mura.
mahal yan pag may appaayusin pa. pero pag tutong nothing to fix na low milleage and makinis pa pintura and sariwa pa interior good buy na yun
hello peeps!
hello volts: as far as the legroom sa likod ng charade...its pretty roomy naman but i bet that the KIA's would be roomier...pero sa lapad mas cramped ang sa KIA yan ang napansin ko. but KIA compensates it sa headroom naman. the charade has a lower headroom, since mas mababa sya(but wider). im ritical kasi sa seating position(even though im not that tall) thats why the charade appealed to me.
clavel: at that price you can never expect that quality. be sure to add 20k more for repairs afterwards. a car that old is expected to have lots of problems unless well taken cared of...as per my experience sa charade. its a nice car. nice design and looks.not too shabby...but the parts arent as plentiful and available as that of the KIA's..if your the practical guy. by all means, get the KIA. since maintenance will obviously be cheaper and the parts are so abundant you dont have to buy surplus. the charade looks a lot better speacially the 2 door types...is a lot more aerodynamic and has lots of potential..eventhough its old. BUT bringing it up to pimp quality will be 10 scores more difficult than a KIA bec of the parts and its availability...suspension parts are abundant...add ons and body parts are another story...
if you do decide on the KIA. just look out for corroded underparts and rear compartments. for some reasons...when i was still looking for an economical practical ride. i saw a lot of KIA's that have bulok rear compartment flooring. napansin ko kasi may butas sa parts na yun sa may spare wheelwell...kadalasan nawawala yun takip so water seeps in. ALSO....KIA performance parts are plentiful!!! if your not finicky about the looks or the taxi image, get one.
yup...you can fit in lots of stuff in the charade's engine bay...as for the KIA...di ko alam since di ko na na pursue but you can go to the link given above for some HOT KIA's for drag. balak ko din change engine but sa ugali kong impatient for sure disgrasya lang aabutin ko kung bibilis pa oto kohidni naman ako schumacher pagdating sa driving skills

i think mas madali i-tune ang kia pride because it's a mazda 121/ford festiva. ang alam ko the Z5 or B5 mazda engine (1.5L EFI) is a drop-in and you can even use the original tranny. mura pa! (siguro sub-10k)
I will go for the Kia Pride rather than Charade, due to parts availabilty at I have tried riding on the Kia Pride (TAxi) ok naman, magaling pa sa baha.

our family is looking for an alternate low cost used car for fun, we like the charade 4-door but its hard to find one, another option is the pride cd5. i just want to know based on your opinion or personal experience guys which of these two are the most reliable or best to use in all aspects. thanks
Check out my post from another thread... http://tsikot.yehey.com/forums/showp...0&postcount=54

Yung Pride... hindi lang pampamilya, pang-sports pa. :D
Madaming parts (match din sa B-Series ng Mazda, pwede rin yung ilang parts ng Nissan), mura, at madaling i-maintain.
Go for a Charade. Though both cars were assembled in the 90's by Columbian Motors.
ill go with pride.. previously owned 1 and never regreted ownng it.. wish still it was here.. very fuel efficient up to its fifth year with me..![]()
Btw, the Kia Pride CD5 is:
Ford Festiva during early to mid 80's...
Also has been the Mazda 121...
And now known as Kia Pride from the 90's.
It stopped production around 2002 yata.
