laging puno ang "potential costumer parking" ng toyota otis. ewan ko kung costumers o workers...
yung mga bargaining tables sa loob, kuminsan i-ilan lang ang nag-bu-bunumbraso, kuminsan naman ay halos puno...

Magbigay sila ng significant discounts, or be honestly willing to sit in a negotiation table, baka may magkainteres pang bumili...

E dito sa atin, freebies lang ang pinag uusapan... Wala iyon...

hehe . ilang percent kaya ang kita ng dealer sa bawat model? i'm sure iisa lang naman ang preyo ng bili nila niyan sa planta. i agree with you sa "new normal" baka kailanagan ng extra enticement in the form of bigger discounts at mas hesitant mag labas ng malaking pera tao ngayon.

several years ago, a car dealer ("casa") mentioned the amount they make from every sale. it was ridiculouslyly small.
then he adds, "we make our real money on the services part, i.e., pms etc, that we do on your car".

That could be the case here, sadly. But I don't believe it.

I have a couple of experiences in the US, as a companion, not a negotiator/buyer where my work colleague as in the case of the one in CA, and a relative as in the case of the second one in SC, were able to get approximately 20% off the tag price of a brand new vehicle.

And we get to drive them home after issuing personal checks.

Now that works for us customers.

After over an hour of talks and negotiation, make it two... the agent talked to his manager and we closed the deal. I got to drink 4 cups of brewed coffee and munched a couple of bagels... He he he

    Dito, cartel... Sayang oras mo...

I can confirm to you that dealers have very little margins on car sales (typically ~5-10% on hot selling models). The statement is true that they make most of their revenues from services, and that the only time they can offer significant discounts is when it is manufacturer-sponsored.

the big part of the casa's income comes not from car sales, but from servicing them cars.

if it takes 3K to have one's car serviced in the casa, it would probably take 1.5K or less, to have that car get the same service, in banawe.

Malaki naman kasi yung volume kaya maganda rin kita. There are probably rebates too from hitting sales targets.

And there are other ways for them to earn aside from service. Insurance, accessories, "in house" financing, etc.

    Thanks bro

And with that, I am guessing that their ~20% discount on the SRP of outgoing models is manufacturer-sponsored...

But then, the parties still make money...
