Pahirapan kumuha ng Alphard ngayon - approx wait is at least 6 months, even harder than an LC200. So the Alphard-buying market spills over to the Carnival. I personally know 2 people who recently bought Carnivals because they couldn't wait for the Alphard.

At the Alphard/LC200 price level I'd also look at the V220.

True. 4.4M for the V220 vs 4.2M market price of the Alphard (vs 3.6M SRP).

The V220 will be cheaper to run because diesel, but the Alphard will still have lower maintenance costs and higher resale value.

Surprisingly, Toyota really has a strong hold of the high end market with the LC and Alphard, and looking at the sales numbers, many of the moneyed prefer to buy these over the "premium" Euro brands.

Am surprised with that as well. I guess reliability, durability and resale value are still still factors that take the front seat even at that level.

But at some point those guys are probably gonna get bored of the same old thing and take the plunge and get something else.
