    Hi! I need your opinion on the Kia Mohave. How does it stand up against Hyundai's Vera Cruz?

    AFAIK The Mohave is a true SUV with a ladder frame chassis while the Veracruz is a Crossover with a unibody chassis. This will mean that the Mohave is more capable off road while the Veracruz has better on road manners. Both a really quick having 3.0 liter V6 diesels with the latest technology. The Mohave has ten more horses and 88Nm more torque, but has more heft to carry. Like the Sorento, the Mohave is also speed limited which is not the case with the Veracruz and the Santa Fe.

    Performance = Mohave
    Looks = VeraCruz

    Naka drive na ako ng VeraCruz. Ibang klase ang feeling pag sanay ka sa Isuzu Trooper

    Yung power parang doble ng meron sa Trooper. Yung suspension tahimik at soft. Very comfy..

    Haha pinagkumpara ang Trooper sa Veracruz at Mohave. Yung Trooper malakas na in its own right ah... At yung Veracruz naman kasi ay crossover, kapag hindi pa yan comfortable... naku! How's the handling naman? Sana naman hindi lumabas dito ang shortcomings ng Trooper (or any traditional SUV for that matter) like the 10 turns from lock to lock steering, sloppy handling na parang tataob kapag nag-turn ng may konting kabilisan...

    Isama mo pa yung ingay ng makina ng Trooper hahaha

    They belong to the same class kasi. hehe

    Yung handling hindi ako makapag comment kasi hindi gaano mabilis at walang liko-liko eh. Di bale, next time. Marami pang times na pwede.

    Kasi VeraCruz ni ate Ladyrider yun

    aba... mga mayayaman talaga... Although maingay ang 4JX1, but I'd have to commend the insulation of the Trooper, ang ingay sa labas, pero ang laki ng binawas sa loob! And if it feels like it has 2x the power of the Trooper, it must feel like having 2x the power of the Pajero and Prado as well, which are both more expensive than the Veracruz... How's the FC of the Veracruz, BTW? Being a V6, despite being a diesel it must be quite thirsty. the Trooper already drinks at the rate of around 7.5km/l and it has 2 less cylinders at that.

    Mismo. Sa loob ng Trooper hindi na maingay. Lalo na pag bukas na yung sound system. hehehe!

    Anyway, yung FC siguro same lang sa Trooper. Around 7-9km/L. Pero possible na mag drop yun ng 5.5-6.5km/L sa traffic. Syempre kasi straight six yun, walang cylinder management. Pero hindi rin naman dapat mag-alala.. Kasi..

    Mura ang krudo :twak:

    "Ladder frame" pala ang Mohave, but the suspension is soft. Maganda ang handling. I haven't test driven the Vera Cruz yet, but it has more bells and whistles than the Mohave.

    The Mojave/Borrego uses a unibody/body-on-frame construction, which shares with the Veracruz platform...

    But is Kia reliable, just like the Hyundai dealership?

    Siguro. Yung Kia sa E. Rodriguez. Mukhang ok sa kanila.

    So, do you guys think that a 2009 Mohave with only 8,977kms mileage is a good buy for P2.050M? Pre-owned ng isang Kia executive.

    Color black?

    Kung 3 Million ang Brand new, well good deal na yan. Just double check the car. Lalo na kung nabili before Ondoy

    2.050M lang?! If I had that sort of money, I'd get it at once! Then exhaust all means to take off the speed governor. And according to various sources, the Mohave is a traditional box on frame SUV, and is not related to the Veracruz. Now, if only Kia stages one of those off road exhibitions to showcase the Mohave's off road capabilities like what Ford does with the Ranger, and Isuzu does with the D-Max... I'd love to see the Mohave move the earth...

    By the way, will a Unichip installation be able to remove the 195km/h speed limiter in the Mohave? I've read somewhere that part of the capabilities of the Unichip is removing speed, rev and boost limiters.

    Case to case basis. Unless you can find a case where someone has tried it already and failed/succeeded, you won't know until you try it.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    Hmmm.... Hindi ata happy owner si Kia executive sa Mojave nya kaya binebenta? What is the reason for selling?

    Ako nga yung VC ko since 2007 pa and ang daming nag-ooffer bumili pero di ko binebenta.

    Very happy ako sa performance ng Vera Cruz sa halos lahat ng aspects!

    Ang kinaiinis ko lang eh bakit hindi pinasok ng HARI dito yung kumpleto lahat ng toys sa loob ng sasakyan tulad ng nakita ko sa website ng Vera Cruz mismo! (hehehehe)

    Oh well, ipainstall mo nalang sa HARI yung mga options na wala. I'm sure meron sila nun. Kapag binenta nila ang Veracruz with all the features thrown in, magkano na kaya yun?

    More than 3 Million yun for sure.

    Nagulat nga ako yung VeraCruz ni ate LR walang power retract side mirror, cruise control at engine start button.

    Pero ang Tucson CRDi Premium meron

    Pero kung makikipag palit si Ate LR sa akin ng kotse ok lang

    The unit being offered, however, does not have the foldable side mirrors, no iPod outlet, no telescopic steering wheel, no DVD/Bluetooth kit. But runs on V6 3.0L, Double CRDi with EVGT. You think it is still a bargain? The color, by the way, is "Sweet Orange".
