good day mga sir, college student lang po and namimili po ako sa mga ff cars para pampasok sa school.. in terms of FUEL EFFIECENCY and MAINTAINANCE AND PARTS costs po talaga priority ko kasi ako po magmamaintain ng auto.. pero una po talaga fuel efficiency from las pinas-UST po kasi ruta ko.. budget lang po is 150k pababa eh..

    2. HONDA civic LXI 96+ (non vtec, mas matipid ba yung ph15 ksa sa may vtec na? :D)
    3. HONDA city 1.3

yan po yung mga pinapagpilian ko.. any suggestions po and comments sa mga cars na yan? in terms of maintainance and fuel efficency nila? feedbacks po are well appreciated, thank you!

Here are my reviews for the two abovementioned cars.
THE ULTIMATE USED CAR GUIDE: Used Car of the Week - Honda Civic (1996-2000)
THE ULTIMATE USED CAR GUIDE: Used Car of the Week - Toyota Corolla (1993-1998)

The Toyota, wala kang problem sa parts and 4A-FE fuel consumption is decent enough, kasing pareho ng 2E Carb.
Civic LXi, same fuel economy with the VTi
City is more fuel efficient than the Civic LXi

    My other suggestions include:
THE ULTIMATE USED CAR GUIDE: Used Car of the Week - Nissan Sentra (1995-2001)
THE ULTIMATE USED CAR GUIDE: Used Car of the Week - Mitsubishi Lancer (1993-1999)

Basta try mo muna magipon pa ng marami so you can have other choices as well

Parts for the Honda?

For 150k, I'd get a Corolla GLi (as new as possible). Our old 1996 GLi did 8.5 km/L in city driving, which is good enough for a car of its vintage. Much faster than the non-1.6 options you're considering as well. As the equivalent of the Vios in the 90's, parts are abundant.

These two sites are good enough starting points. They have the most updated ads. I prefer to look at ayosdito first as it is the faster site. But Sulit has more ads, and the ads usually have more details and pictures. You can look at the thread bro tsinelas30 has created, the one about the 120k budget. Most of things you need to know are mentioned there. He already got his 1998 Sentra EX Saloon for 114k, and so far seems to be very satisfied with it.

Between the two, mag Sentra ka na talaga. Laki ng agwat ng edad. But still, I suggest you give the Lynx a second look. Ganda kasi...

by the way, mukhang mahirap kasi i-maintain ang lynx sir? and baka magastos sa gas? may binibenta samin nito 80k lang.. company car siya..

I think there are Corolla Big Body models na below 150k.

The Lancer Pizza is fine but watch out for the suspension at servo problems, kung Itlog naman suspension. Parts are aplenty naman since mabenta siya and fuel efficiency is decent.

Kung Sentra I think below 150k can get you a decently equipped Super Saloon model na 1995-1999. Pwede rin EX Saloon (efi siya) pero since you mentioned na ayaw mo ng 2E Corolla, best avoid the FE model na carb siya.

So here are my options list:
    1. Corolla GLi
    2. Sentra Super Saloon
    3. Sentra EX Saloon
    4. Lancer Pizza GL (1996-1999)
    5. Civic LXi
    6. City
    7. Lancer Pizza GLXi
