November 18th, 2012 08:55 PM #1good day mga sir, college student lang po and namimili po ako sa mga ff cars para pampasok sa school.. in terms of FUEL EFFIECENCY and MAINTAINANCE AND PARTS costs po talaga priority ko kasi ako po magmamaintain ng auto.. pero una po talaga fuel efficiency from las pinas-UST po kasi ruta ko.. budget lang po is 150k pababa eh..
1. TOYOTA corolla gli 1994+ (walang problema sa parts, kamusta naman FC ng 4afe mga sir?)
2. HONDA civic LXI 96+ (non vtec, mas matipid ba yung ph15 ksa sa may vtec na? :D)
3. HONDA city 1.3
yan po yung mga pinapagpilian ko.. any suggestions po and comments sa mga cars na yan? in terms of maintainance and fuel efficency nila? feedbacks po are well appreciated, thank you!

Here are my reviews for the two abovementioned cars.
THE ULTIMATE USED CAR GUIDE: Used Car of the Week - Honda Civic (1996-2000)
THE ULTIMATE USED CAR GUIDE: Used Car of the Week - Toyota Corolla (1993-1998)
The Toyota, wala kang problem sa parts and 4A-FE fuel consumption is decent enough, kasing pareho ng 2E Carb.
Civic LXi, same fuel economy with the VTi
City is more fuel efficient than the Civic LXi
My other suggestions include:
THE ULTIMATE USED CAR GUIDE: Used Car of the Week - Nissan Sentra (1995-2001)
THE ULTIMATE USED CAR GUIDE: Used Car of the Week - Mitsubishi Lancer (1993-1999)
Basta try mo muna magipon pa ng marami so you can have other choices as wellLast edited by myk384; November 18th, 2012 at 09:16 PM.

For 150k, I'd get a Corolla GLi (as new as possible). Our old 1996 GLi did 8.5 km/L in city driving, which is good enough for a car of its vintage. Much faster than the non-1.6 options you're considering as well. As the equivalent of the Vios in the 90's, parts are abundant.

November 19th, 2012 08:52 PM #10thank you po sa mga reply niyo mga brod, keep em coming! ehehe, if ever corolla na po talaga, ano po kaya yung mga points to look out pag tumitingin ng corolla? for a GLI na 96 magkano kaya fair price.. sorry po dami tanong, student palang po kasi, and ako mismo maghahanap kaya ayun..
mas mukhang modern lang po yung civic and gusto ko yung interior niya.. and may somehow "exclusivity" kasi di siya ginagawang taxi dito hehe.. pero practically ano kaya ang better choice? how bout sentra po?
