I know it's the ideal vehicle of many lady drivers. Personally though I'd still prefer something with more ground clearance.

We're not really rushing this so we want to execute this as smooth as possible.
    Priorites are the following:
    -Space
    -Decent looks on its price
    -AT
    -Features and safety

So far she is looking into this list (No MT please):
    Jazz
    City
Juke, but 980k, given the budget she really prefers this.
    Mazda 2
    Elantra
    Ecosport

You could also suggest a decent 2nd hand car. As i'm also convincing her on this.
    Thanks!

    Ciaz!

-Space -- Check. Anluwag talaga ng loob, better than the Vios and City. Almost Altis na ata yung cabin space.
-Decent looks on its price -- Check. This is subjective, but I personally think it looks more expensive than it is.
-AT -- Check. 773k and 888k yung AT variants nila
-Features and safety -- Basic. ABD and airbags

Go for either Jazz, Altis, City or Vios. if gusto ng mas malaking space baka kaya Mobilio or BRV (Stretch na to)

My Fiesta Ecoboost is more than 2 years old and has ran more than 41k kilometers. No problems whatsoever with it. It is a much better drive compared to a City/Jazz or Vios/Yaris. The small yet potent 1.0L turbo engine pairs well with its dry-clutch DCT making it accelerate quicker than the rest of the subcompacts and the 1.6L-engined compacts.

I concur. Since recommending it here the other day, for some reason i've been seeing them a lot more and they've begun to look a loy more appealing than say, the vios. Mas mukhang elegante at sleek eh

to be or not to be, that always confuses me!

    Ok.... Beginner and a girl

My advice eh sa reliable ka like the jazz and city and buy the entry level automatic.

Ito price list jazz = choose only the 1.5 v cvt.

    Jazz 1.5 V MT
    PHP 793,000.00

    Jazz 1.5 V CVT
    PHP 833,000.00

    Jazz 1.5 VX CVT
    PHP 933,000.00

    Jazz 1.5 VX+ CVT
    PHP 973,000.00

    Jazz 1.5 V CVT MUGEN
    PHP 963,000.00

Jazz 1.5 VX CVT Modulo Black Edition
    PHP 998,000.00

    -
    -

Next if type gf mo city eh piliin lang 1.5 E cvt variant (804thou and 829thou) Pag pumalo na 900thou waste of money na eh juke level na yan .

    City 1.5 E MT
    PHP 764,000.00

    City 1.5 E CVT
    PHP 804,000.00

City 1.5 E CVT Limited Edition
    PHP 829,000.00

    City 1.5 VX Navi CVT
    PHP 913,000.00

    City 1.5 VX+ Navi CVT
    PHP 1,003,000.00

City 1.5 E CVT Modulo Utility
    PHP 829,000.00

City 1.5 VX Navi CVT Modulo Aero Sport
    PHP 968,000.00

City 1.5 VX Navi CVT MUGEN
    PHP 1,063,000.00

City 1.5 E CVT Modulo Black Edition
    PHP 874,000.00

City 1.5 VX Navi CVT Modulo Black Edition
    PHP 983,000.00

City 1.5 VX Navi CVT MUGEN Black Edition
    PHP 1,043,000.00

So for small cars like jazz, city, yaris sagad na 850tho.

Itest drive niya lahat ng choice tapos dun sya magdecide. Kung driving experience ang usapan, go ako sa mazda2 (with free pms pa). Downside is kung first priority ang space, mas masikip interior niya compared sa jazz/city pero understandable parin naman for 3 adults to sit behind. Fuel efficiency, parking, almost all aspects aside sa interior space, perfect sya.

Mazda 2 V+ srp is 895k but you can get a discount of up to 50-60k.

3 adults in the Mazda 3's rear is definitely not comfortable. Super sikip and I would never recommend it to anyone looking for space. The Jazz and City are much, much larger. The Mazda 2 is closer to the Mirage in terms of space.

maganda po talaga yung mazda 2 pero sabi nila cramped" daw ung interior lalo n ung backseat.. 5'11" po height ng brother ko, baka hindi sya makaupo comfortably esp in long distance travels..

If space is your biggest priority, the Nissan Sylphy 1.6 CVT is 949k but my officemate got a 60k discount before. Very spacious although not as much toys as the City/Jazz VX.

If you want a subcompact, the City, Jazz, and Ciaz are all very spacious. The Ciaz is as big as a compact car already and it's pretty cheap at 773k. It's gonna have poorer resale value than a City so the 30k difference between the Ciaz and the entry-level City E might be worth it for you.

If you can afford it though, the City VX is the best all-rounder subcompact you can get. At 913k, it's slightly over budget but I believe Honda offers 10-20k discounts so it should fall within your upper limit. If you can live without the toys, the City E is also a pretty good package (better than the Vios E) at 804k.

Personally I think the Jazz is a better car for an extra 20k more but it really depends if you prefer a hatch or sedan. You can't go wrong with either.
