well kung di ka naman mabusisi sa auto, corolla na lang. pero kung gusto mong mas madaming amenities, "newer" top of the line model, at kung di ka brand conscious, then sentra or familia. in exchange for a little higher maintenance cost. usually kasi ang top of the line model na same year ng sentra or familia e kapresyo, if not cheaper, ng base model na corolla or civic, or even a city.

    If you don't have an age limit, I'd recommend a W123 Mercedes Benz. Mine's a '77 300D.

Very durable, reliable, easy to work on, economical. Never run out of parts and arrive in style all the time. hehehe.

I was in the exact same situation nung start of the year. All choices mentioned above are good. Depende siguro yan kung yung 200k mo includes repairs na, o pambili ng auto pa lang.

Patience is the key lang talaga. Tingin ka madaming auto so you can learn the pros and cons and an idea din of how much the real market value is.

Personally, I recommend a 93-96 Corolla GLi, or 95ish Civic ESI, although for these cars kailangan maghanap ka ng good condition kung 200k budget mo para wala ka nang papaayos.

Ok din yung 123 na Benz, never malalaos and classy talaga dating. 93-96 Lancer GLXi din pwede, mga 120-150k lang, marami ka pang pang pagawa and pangbihis.

Another idea is 89-92 Corolla, hanap ka ng magandang condition, dami ka pang matitirang pangbihis.

I considered all these options din pero I was pretty much set on getting a Toyota, since maganda experience namin sa 94 GLi ng mom ko. Ended up getting a 95 GLi. Very reliable talaga 'tong auto na to, madali pa bihisan and madali ang parts. Tipid pa sa gas!

mataas ang acquisition kapag either Civic or Corolla. eh di konti na lang ang matitira for mods. i would suggested the 323 Familia kaya lang meron ka na pala.... mas ok Nissan Sentra Series III SE Saloon (with 4w disc brakes and ABS).

mura lang bilhin pero Ok parin.

i narrow my options to honda na lng. di naman nagmamadali nagiisip pa alin masok, may nabebenta skin na hatch 95 stock engine 220t ok n b un? if you were to buy what honda will you buy. para kasi ok na stock bilihin tapos project car mo rather than buying setup car na di mo sure kung abuse! wat are the price range of 2000-2003 vtec, khit ung 7th gen. mas ok yata ung medyo bago rather than hatch kasi bka dami na pagawain khit gus2 ko ng hatch huhuhu

2nd hand subcompact Hondas are overpriced & overrated. 220K for a HB with a stock engine? No way.

For 250K you can get an Altima or Galant VR6.

Or even better, you can get an LXi with more space, a bigger (but not necessarily uneconomical) engine, and less rust.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

3 years ago you could get a 1996 civic EK (VTi) for 250k.
so i would suspect ngayon mas mababa na.
