Sayang yung bnew car eh.

    Hello Grace!

I understand what you're going thru, since I was also looking at these cars last March 2011. I was choosing between the Jazz, Vios and the Fiesta. Initially, I was going for the Vios due to practicality and pricing. However, I test drove all of them and fell in love with the Jazz. I suggest you test drive them too. Though, I recommend the Jazz (the new one looks awesome!) because of the Versatility (flip the backseats and you get instant space that can swallow 4 balikbayan boxes) and higher resale value which the Vios cannot offer. Both cars have great fuel efficiency and durability. Though, the Jazz has two drawbacks:

    1. Price - I think atleast 50k more expensive than the Vios for both Cars' top models
    2. Availability - If you're planning on getting a Jazz, better reserve now even though you're getting it on July.
I ordered my Jazz last End-March. and it still hasn't arrived lol! hahaha I'm waiting now 2 months and counting. Honda said I'll get my Jazz in the middle of next month. so that means a total of 3 months 2 weeks waiting. but I'm waiting coz it's what I want. I don't want to settle for something else. Though the main reason for no availability was due to the Japan twin disasters last March. So hopefully production should pick up by now. Though I'm sure there's a long line for the Jazz as we speak.

If you're in a hurry to get a car, get the vios. But the Jazz is definitely more than worth the wait ;-) Good luck! and hope you found this helpful =)

Jazz? Better resale value? IMO, the ONLY car that even comes close in beating Vios' resale value is the Honda Civic.

If money is not an issue (purchase and maintenance) >>> Jazz. But if otherwise, Vios would be a practical choice.

I read in an earlier post of the comparo between the Vios and the Jazz. Yup, medyo apples and oranges nga. Should be between Jazz and the Yaris. Hatch-to-hatch. If sedan-to-sedan, should be City vs. Vios.

+1 here, tama siya, Vios is a very practical car the 1.3E could give you very good FC and at the same time it also has sufficient power for a 1.3 vvti engine, on the other hand, Jazz can match the FC of Vios with the 1.3 vtec engine or maybe you can go and purchase the iDSi variant which will also give good FC.

My vote will go for the Jazz because it is sporty and quite a looker on the road.. I read some of the post here giving you an advice on considering the City, yes, i think it will be a good match-up between the City and Vios. Good luck sir!

Just like Nix said, I also vote Jazz. We used to have 1.5G, it has cheapy interior, a bit torquey but medyo kapos sa mid, even our old eccs can out run it. Me and some friends would sometimes joke around calling it a med reps car w/c you can actually observe it is, another thing w/c turns me off. But matibay except for the few squeeks on the suspension w/ 3 years of use, and matipid! Space wise, good naman for 5 persons, but not as good as that of the Jazz, it's surprisingly more spacious. The Jazz drives better, has better looking interior, but I think nothing beats the fuel economy of the Vios. It actually, served us quite well while it was still here.

+1 kay sir Benz. Medyo magka-iba but if it's the TS's money, let us just hope he does the test drive para walang sisihan.

The Jazz is the better car, but if money is a consideration, the Vios is perfectly serviceable.

I'd go for the jazz... flexibility of the rear seats gave it the advantage! =)
and one thing more, Jazz is more "girlie" than the vios. I think I saw a silver hello kitty jazz with pink artwork. it looks cute for my wife.

PS you might want to add the Fiesta on your list or perhaps the Accent.. =)
