hello, first time ko dito although matagal na ako nagbabasa. kasi la pa ako car. pero finally mukhang bibili na. pero hanggang second hand(maybe third hand kung talagang alaga) lang. will welcome suggestions kasi di ko alam if pede na sedan or dapat SUV na tingnan ko. and yes first time driver kami mag-asawa so for short patas lang kami na la alam.

fuel efficiency - yes definitely. prefer diesel para talagang tipid.
interiors - dapat medyo spacy kasi family car ito (kasi anak ko makalat pa), so dapat leather para punas lang at di na lalabhan every time may accidents sa likod. mahirap ng masyadong makipot (ayoko adventure)
boot - definitely dapat may pwet yung car kasi medyo malaki stroller.
kung pwede may reasonable safety features naman like seatbelts and air bags na maayos pa.
styling - not really caring.... ok not completely true. dapat naman may ilong at pwet (ayoko ng pango na sedan). or if SUV ayoko naman na sobrang sporty ang itsura na wala naman aerodynamic or safety purpose. maybe a car with any dark color paint.
entertainment - don't really care if may VCD/DVD sya, basta may radio tapos pede kabitan later ng mp3 player or whatever.
resale value - dapat may resale value kahit konti.
purchasing arrangement - bank financing namin

yung boss ko was thinking of selling me his 2nd hand 2004 outlander for about 550k. mga 46k mileage. another friend naman 2000 hyundai station wagon elantra for 230k. don't know about the mileage. pareho gas (no friend selling off diesel car so far). in lieu of any other deals out there (kasi ngayon lang ako tumitingin talaga ng serious), ok na ba yung outlander? which banks have the best deals on third hand cars? pwede pa ba mag pafinance ng 3rd hand car?

thank you so much so lahat ng sasagot! =)

mind if i ask your budget? by the looks of it, i think the Isuzu Crosswind fits into your criteria. palitan mo na lang ng aftermarket HU, if ever.

hello! what is an HU? actually ang daming acronyms dito na di ko get. like what is JDM?

budget is between 200-500k. actually basta lumampas na ng 200k financing na ang kailangan.

crosswind... i had a friend with that and every time i rode on it ang sikip sa harap. it's the same hang-up i have with the adventure - yung transmission bangga na ng bangga sa tuhod.

definitely alternating kami magmamaneho ng asawa ko so passenger comfort is also important.

HU (Head Unit or simply put it, the stereo). JDM is japanese domestic market.

it would all depend on you, medyo madami yung categories mo, which i find the crosswind to fit in most of it.

the only thing i can think of aside from the crosswind is the fortuner, pero hindi kakayanin ng budget mo.

the outlander that your boss is selling you is GAS. medyo mataas ang FC nyan, tingin ko nasa 8-9 kilometers per liter lang sya.

the CRV could be fit, pero, again, hindi sya diesel. tsaka baka hindi din pasok sa budget.

banks can finance any car as long as it is not more than 5 years. and besides, kung 5 years na sya, maximum payment, i think is one year lang. baka mabigatan ka.

ganun? ibig sabihin kailangan ang oldest vehicle na bibilin ko is 2005 if i want na maka-18 months na terms? thanks for the bank advice!

    -yup.

    - a nissan sentra would also be nice. although its not a diesel, its really spacious. medyo mababa din ang resale. pero napaka durable nyang oto na yan.
    - you can also think of getting a Nissan Livina. Very spacious. kaya lang, mukhang lampas budget.

    - you can get Crosswinds for as low as 450k and to as high as 800k.
