mga boss, gusto po sanang malaman kung anong ok sa mga pinagpipilian ko.
budget ko po is 100-120K. So far ito ang mga na-research ko.

kia - low maintenance, kaya lang mararamdaman mo lubak kse maliit gulong.
nissan - low resale value, high replacement parts

Basta decent car ,comfortable, tipid sa gas... ok na sa akin yon. thx!

Kia Pride cd5 ... You can't really beat the 2nd hand price and replacement parts are very cheap. The engine isn't the most powerful nor even "modern" but it does the job with minimal fuss.

Other alternatives would be the VW Beetle classic and the Lancer box-type.

The Nissan Sentra LEC series 2 would also make a good candidate if you can find one in good condition.

among your choices, i would go the the Sentra S3. big sturdy body with power and pwedeng pormahan.

but at your budget of 100-120k, there seems to be other possible choices:

    a) a Corolla 1.6 GL (the first generation of the 16-valves by Toyota)
    b) a Lancer GL or GLXi (singkit - again, nice na pormahan. 16v engine, fuel injected (case ng GLXi).
    c) a Mazda Familia boxtype.

IMO ill get the corolla, mas ok kung 16 valve na. we have a 1.3 corolla xl 93 model (bought brand new)... ok talaga perfomance niya. bihira lang masira and the parts are easy to find and relativly cheap. kahit hindi na maganda yung body, ok pa din engine. never overhauled! bilib ako sa car na yun.

good luck sa car hunting niyo sir!

I would totally avoid the Kia Pride. So between the Nissan and Toyota just go sa mas hindi laspag (both physically and odometer wise). Matibay din ang Nissan, in fact very underated car....

    120k budget?

If your going make a project car the Kia Pride would be the best (CD5).
60 to 80 thousand ang second hand then buy a surplus z5 engine (dohc, efi), around 99hp stock (you can also put a turbo and intercooler sa budget mo) and you will have a car that can run low 15's to to high 14's for a quarter mile kasi the car is relatively light plus the more powerful engine (ala lotus elise ang power to weight ratio mo).

He he he he just an idea lang po, pero feasible.
