Hi,
The advie`s style/looks is soo soo old. It's looks are so out-dated, seriously.
It just serves as a people hauler, though the looks are old, from what I`ve heard it's durable, 2nd to the crosswind of course
Let me ask, what is your budget, maybe you could stretch up to get an Innova J ( newer and better ) but the only downside is it has no power features, but, you can add it sometime else.
HTH
based on the 720k price you mentioned, here are some of the possible alternatives:
1) Avanza 1.5G MT
2) Innova J
3) Crosswind XL
i think thats about it. hehe![]()
The only downside i can think of the Adventure is that its styling is quite antiquated already. Hehe
But the 4D56 engine is durable.![]()
I really don't know much about the Adventure, pero phobia ako in anything na Mitsubishi, the last 2 Mitsus we had are a headache (94' L300 Van Diesel and '95 Lancer GLXI). On the other hand, I'm very happy with our Isuzu Crosswind XL.
Old but durable ---its now the Adventure's call name.
As an AUV, it has it merits. At least it realistically priced than the current Crosswinds.
Personally, if my needs can be served by an Avanza and it has to be a diesel then I will gravitate to the Adventure.
At just over 70 hp with no turbo, it can be slow. But maintenance is relatively cheap.
Hi, yun croswind XL and Inova J, di ba low end yun sila?
I'm worried kasi I think adventure in the future will have to change looks and engine.... baka next year na nangyayari...
Di ba old-model na rin ang engine ng croswind xl ?

4D56 and 4JA1 are both old school diesels.
The Adventure GLX has better trim than the base model Crosswind XL.
GX = XL
GLX = XT
they're low end models with no power amenities except power steering.
there's a big chance that the adventure will be replaced soon since it's already an outdated model. one of its rivals, the toyota revo, was replaced by the innova a few years ago and to think that the innova already had a facelift this year.
the first generation crosswind's engine is the same as the current model crosswind.
it really is up to you. do you want to drive an outdated model but with a reliable engine? or do you want to drive in a relatively new model with a very fresh aura.![]()
important question: what do you need it for?
are you entering it in a beauty contest? or are you going to haul your harvest of suha in it? i say to you, if it can do the job, the rest is vanity. and the more luxurious variant actually moves more slowly in the used market than the base model.
so what if the new model rolls out next week? does use of your old car become illegal then? bigla bang masisira o kakalawangin ang lumang sasakyan mo? so what if the new engine comes out tomorrow? with so many users today, i doubt you'll have difficulty finding parts for your old ride within the coming 10 years. besides, you intend to spend each weekend replacing a crankshaft?
have you considered a used unit for cheaper price?
a wise man once said, "you want to buy a 720 thousand keso car, to spare yourself the trouble of spending 100 thousand kesos to repair your old car?".
sir, do you really need a new vehicle?
it may not be so in the states or in japan. but in europe, people hold on to their cars for a long time until they become unrepairable. (of course, they do repair them there the right way, not the way some misguided siranikos do it here...)
Well said Mr. D,
Currently I owned a 2003 revo GL, diesel… ok pa ang engine… I recently replaced brake pads, upper and lower ball joints, and 4 new tires. I think the revo still needs to replace some bushing kasi mag kalampag pa sa ilalim..
I’m thinking of getting a new unit kasi I feel like my revo is starting to show signs of old age… so far, innova’s price is way too high compare to the adventure, but I did hear some great things about innova such as fuel efficiency and it drives like a car…
But the adventure’s price makes it very practical to buy.. I did test drove the adventure, so far the ride is not as calm / stable as me revo… I didn’t test drive the innova yet because the cost is way too high.
What would YOU do if you were me?
Hi again, just had a chat with my friends, buying a new adventure would roughly cut me 250T more.. they suggested that I keep my 2003 revo GL variant, and use that 250T in fixing and beautifying it…such as getting new mags, new tint, making it power side mirror, replaced old parts (shocks and bushings), new stereo.. etc…
Is this a better option?
one of my kumare who got a revo sports edition happen to join me in one occassion. she told me that the ride comfort is much better than their revo (mind you i didn't ask for her opinion).
if i were you i'll test drive first an innova. if you are satisfied then get an innova j... you can do some upgrade later but price is a bit higher
Innova J 2.0 Gas M/T Php793,000.00
Innova J 2.5 Dsl M/T Php848,000.00
dunno if the promo is still on???
also the FC is much better than your revo. good luck bro.
Dudee, if I were you, I'd rather buy a Grand Starex. Save muna or installment yung difference - or pwede rin second hand Starex Gen III.
You'd be pretty cramped even inside an innova.
dudee, maybe Innova J is better than Adventure na old looks na.
I think Grand Starex is way too big and expensive baka naman kailangan na talaga nung TS ng oto. at nowadays, mahirap na bumili ng 2nd hand kasi marami nang manloloko
