we are planning to buy a small 7 seater for my wife.
    850- 900t budget cash.

ano po kaya mas ok sa 2, bnew 1.5 g avanza AT (850T) or 2nd hand kia carens (2012 model- 800T)

my wife will drive it, kaya she wants small lang sana pero 7 seater. 5 persons lang naman kami, for emergency daw ok na yung may extra seat.

    consideratios are:

    fuel efficient, easy maintenance.

any other suggestions that fits my budget?

    thank you

you might consider a diesel innova.. used or new.. it'll probably be easier to service than the kia.. puede rin adventure, which is a tad smaller than the innova.
i have read a few comments about the avanza... it's not too fuel-efficient..daw..

avanza 1.5g a/t oto ko - pag city driving 7-8km/L.
    mixed city+highway - 11-13km/L.
pero depende pa rin yan sa driving
    habits.
si misis gumgamit pag wala ako. wala naman siya problema
    sa pagddrive.
ok n ok sya for all-around use at di hirap sa akyatan kahit 7
    sakay mo.

May kamaganak kami na nakaavanza. Malakas daw sa gas. Purely city driving. Pero masaya pa rin naman. Its one of the cheapest 7 seaters eh. Personally if ill ever need a big car and im on a budget. Mag2nd hand diesel innova nalang ako. I might take the plunge with the chevrolet spin pagnakakuha ng magandang feedback. Pero parang wala atang bumili nito sa pilipinas. Lol. Wala pa ko nakikita sa kalsada.

eto dimension ng innova and avanza:

    Innova: Overall L x W x H (mm) 4,580 x 1,770 x 1,755
    Avanza:Overall L x W x H (mm) 4,140 x 1,660 x 1,695

kasama din Innova sa pinagpilian namin dati - pero nalakihan kami.
saka yung pinaka-bare na model ng Innova na b/new, halos kapresyo
na ng highend trim ng Avanza (1.5G).

and Innova me diesel variant nga pala. Ang avanza puro Gas.

ok naman ang avanza.. i had mine for over 6 yrs now.. kaya lang yung AT nga medyo malakas sa gas kung city driving.. pero walang problema sa maintenance and parts..

have you looked at the Spin? same size nang avanza.. may diesel din..

If i can find a fresh, slightly used Carens, it would be good. It's more efficient compared to the Innova. If not, then try to swing for an Innova E diesel (brand new) over the Avanza 1.5L. Kung between the two choices and you want peace of mind (brand new and not much maintenance issues) then go for the Avanza.

I have a 2008 Avanza 1.3J. its more than 5 year old car and never had trouble. it is serving me and my family well.

I chose this car in the same reason as you except that I chose manual transmission for better FC and most of all pasok na pasok sa budget ko

maluwag sya 2 for my kids and yaya, and sometimes on the weekends gamit din namin sya for family outings.

My wife is comfortable driving it kasi para lang daw syang nagmamaneho ng kotse.

so far change oil and tune-up lang mostly ang maintenance.

For me, I will go for brand new.

I own a 2011 Kia carens a/t and a 1.3 2012 avanza e a/t. The carens has a more powerful 2 liter crdi Diesel engine. I average 35,000km/year using the carens and it has given me no problems so far. Has log in a total of 67thousand km. The avanza has a
Bouncy ride and you can feel the shift shock with the a/t version. Both good cars, both versatile and can seat 7 people. I believe you can't go wrong choosing either vehicle.

Wait for the Chevrolet Spin Diesel variant, if not go for the Brand New Avanza or an Innova Diesel variant.

If you can save up a bit more for an Innova E 2.5 A/T, better.

Bnew 1.5 Avanza AT or 2nd hand kia carens
