January 2nd, 2009 04:05 PM #11honda city....super smooth and reliable. basta pag may bagyo at malakas na ulan..wag mo isabak sa baha kasi most of the car is mas mababa kesa SUV...pero kung di mo maiiwasan ang sitwasyon ng baha, i suggest get a diesel adventure na nga. Nasa nagamit din yan bro, kung maalaga ka matibay din talaga basta japanese vehicle

Kung Tondo, kailangan dyan maganda car security. Dapat wag yung common car, alam na nila nakawan yan. Daming loko-loko jan e.
Try mo KIA or Hyundai. Accent Diesel or Sportage CRDI.
Consider mo rin Mitsu Strada DID.

Hindi naman sa madaling masira; I own an Adventure, at hindi pa ako nasisiraan ng timing belt (although nagpalit na ako). Basta sundin mo lang yung recommended replacement interval for the timing belt, wala kang dapat alalahanin.
Malamang yung Adventure na madaling naputulan ng timing belt, madalas ibirit ng may-ari kahit wala sa lugar, tulad ng sobrang pag-rev bago patayin yung makina.

Muka ring interested ka sa mga bago ah. My take is nothing beats the new Jazz. Medyo pricy at long waiting nga lang pero sulit for sure.

personally, kung taga tondo rin ako, i would definitely consider this assemble type para magamit during tag-ulan. then kung me lugar naman madali nang mag second car/sedan of my choice.

I'd say an Adventure or a Crosswind would be a good choice for your area.
The Avanza is gasoline only. While that isn't a big problem in fuel economy, as the Avanza, in my experience, is quite economical, I don't know how flood-proof the air intake of the Avanza is.
If you're willing to take the plunge and get a car, the Honda City and Toyota Vios are now co-equal. The Vios now looks just as "ipis" as the City (even more so, with the bug-eye lights), so there's no reason to slight the City in terms of looks, anymore, but the Vios is also now as roomy as the City, so there's no reason to complain about it being cramped. I agree with Ghosthunter, get the regular "G" edition, the limited edition's big wheels make for a harsher ride, worse handling (bad tires) and poorer fuel economy and performance.
The Jazz is much nicer than either, but the seats aren't to everyone's tastes.
