i am looking for a good reliable second hand car and my budget is only 170k.. what could be my choices?

what are my choices? sentra? 323?
whats wrong with mazda 323? they say it's a gas guzzler, i once had a gen2 lynx LSi, which i think had the same engine.. and was doing a 14-16km/liter pre 2004.. and 15-18km/liter 2004 onwards with shell unleaded too bad i sold it 2 years ago because i needed money..

i don't think i could buy a honda..

toyota lovelife is at 200 plus..

Sentra 1.6L super saloon (series 3) is one of the better cars for your money. Just choose one which has been well taken cared of.

I think it has to do with the final gearing which was relatively lower to give good acceleration but resulted in higher FC even with long drives on the highway.

The AE111 Corolla is cramped at the back, very little legroom. The rear suspension is too soft. Loaded with two passengers at the back, the rear suspension will already bottom out if you drive over humps or potholes.

the corolla big body GLi, i think is the best in the market.
second choice would be a sentra
third choice would be a lancer itlog GLi or GLXi

Why not get another Lynx LSi? They're pretty cheap.

You can go for the sentra. choose the super saloon trim with all power features. if you're lucky you can find models with 4-wheel disk brakes and abs. You will also have some spare for repairs.

second choice would be the corolla gli.

Corolla GLi, there are only a few, ( i think ) that are being sold in the market with the 170k range. Well, maybe there are some 96 - 97? models. But the 1994-1995 is much more available and its not bad either.
