IMO, okay na kay wifey yung Toyota Vios. You can't go wrong with it. Practical. Small. Next would be the Chevrolet Spark. Cute & Cheap. One more would be the Celerio. ;)

No side repeaters but what the heck.
Well she wanted an economical and dependable matic car with turn signal repeaters...

suggestion lang po. para mas econimcal ang byahe nya, dapat ito ang route nya:
    BACOOR - COASTAL - AIRPORT ROAD - NICHOLS - C5 - EASTWOOD.
    or
    BACOOR - SLEX - BICUTAN EXIT - LOWER BICUTAN - C6 - MANGGAHAN FLOODWAY - SANTOLAN PASIG - EASTWOOD.

From what I've seen, it's not categorically worse than other Japanese automatics of the 90's. (Which, in my opinion, all suck to maintain) But I've heard other people complain about electronic failure. The transmission itself, though, is relatively durable because it's unstressed. Our XTO started to have electronic glitches (wouldn't go into first gear in "D") at over 150k, but it was months before we decided to fix it... ... we'd simply shift into "L" when we needed first gear. Obviously, it was just a solenoid problem and was eventually fixed. The transmission itself needs an overhaul sometime in the next year, though. I wouldn't know, I'm not the one taking care of it, anymore. Uncle's XUV still okay. Brother-in-law bought an XUV with the AT with 200k kms, still okay, no slipping, but slow as heck.

Actually... that's the biggest problem with the Crosswind AT. Slow as fricking heck.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    Guys,

Thanks for all the comments. We currently have an isuzu trooper and my wife drove it for several years. Kaso malakas siya sa diesel at hindi na maganda ang performance so naghahanap si wifey na pang everyday pamasok. I'll be looking into the cars you mentioned and i'll keep you posted kung nakabili na kami

    *rollyic

sir i assume lesser po ang traffic (or mas maikli daan pero mas matraffic?) kaya economical dito compared sa normal route nya? thanks sa suggestion!

    BACOOR - COASTAL - AIRPORT ROAD - NICHOLS - C5 - EASTWOOD.
    or
    BACOOR - SLEX - BICUTAN EXIT - LOWER BICUTAN - C6 - MANGGAHAN FLOODWAY - SANTOLAN PASIG - EASTWOOD.

We just sold our 2002 Trooper last month. Engine performance is very, very satisfactory. Napakabilis ng sasakyan na yan! What makes you feel that its performance is degrading? Though I have to agree about the fuel consumption part. It has been getting pretty thirsty lately... Since sanay na pala siya sa malaking sasakyan at Isuzu pa, Crosswind na! Although siguro maninibago siya sa kupad niyan pero hey, that's what you pay for better gas mileage. Perhaps you can just consider installing some convenient performance mods.
