November 20th, 2017 02:01 AM #3146Need to choose between 2017 Everest Trend (1.499M after discount) vs 2016 Montero Sports GLS Premium ( 1.538M after discount) but limited colors (black or deep bronze only). Appreciate your inputs. Thanks.

November 20th, 2017 02:30 AM #3147Which dealers gave you the discounts? Only things worth noting are the oil consumption reports on the montero (not sure if these are applicable to the first few miles only) and everest's reliability. So far, eve owners don't seem to have any major glaring problems. Haven't driven either but based on other's input, montero is a much better drive and the everest is a better cruiser.

November 20th, 2017 10:41 AM #31492016 GLS Premium 1,688M (old price) less 150K discount. The differences sa 2017 model are no lock/unlock button for doors. Driver's door lock ginagamit. No illuminations sa window switches, no rear fog lamp, no tether anchor and switch for passenger airbag. two-tone mags ng bago but same design.
Gusto ko sana Montero because of its power, transmission, the cabin design kasi parang kotse na sya and I can easily dispose may sedan because of it looks inside. It uses timing chain as well rather than belt of the Everest. Kaso nga 2016 pa sya and the price is a bit higher than Trend. Got also feedback on steering knocking. Not sure if na resolve na to.. Medyo nalilito lang

November 20th, 2017 11:18 AM #3150I don't want to assume but I think you already know what you want. Real question here is if you want the 2016 model or 2017 model of the Montero (price diff and new features). Ako, i'll take the 2017 model. Lalo na kung financing. Di na mabigat yung price difference pag sa monthly (check mo na lang). Well, that's just me.
Out mo na everest, panggulo lang sya sa utak mo. Trying to test your conviction on the montero. Yung tipong ikakasal ka na tapos bigla ka may makikilala na iba. hehe
Yung extra AUX Fan is useful sa mga naka montero. Mag improve daw yung AC system since may extra...
