February 3rd, 2017 02:30 PM #1581Im looking at the AOP and COP result which are the real important numbers, both lamang si Everest.
Yes, maybe due to the higher number of airbags when they tested it. Maybe if the use the monty with 6airbags, same na result kay eve on COP and AOP.
Im assuming, monty's on AOP, COP and side impact would be similar to the base Eve Ambiente model which only have 2 airbags lang rin.
Surprising mababa result ng overpriced Fortuner pero ang taas pa rin ng sales. Car buyers simply dont look at these numbers... LOL.

February 5th, 2017 12:17 AM #1583Yup, lets keep fanboyism in check. Theres no data showing fortuner is reliable, all new engine and body din naman sila, kya di pa tried and tested.... pero agree, nakatatak pa din sa "atin" na pag toyota badge, reliable, na build ng toyota ang reputation na ganito dahil sa track record nila in the past 50 years or so dito sa atin. And the other brands needs to show this as well.

February 5th, 2017 01:01 AM #1584+1 Sir, as of now mga bago lahat ang ating SUV. But some models uses the same engine as their previous pick up brothers. Which means the engine has been improved and tested already. And for sure dumaan lahat sila sa matinding QC testing bago nila nirelease. Kaya MUX and Eve Engine is fine IMO. Yung Fort and Monty all new engine, tranny and body kaya it takes time bago natin masabi na realiable. Base in this forum may kanya kanya silang mga issue and hopefully maayos na para lahat tayo masaya.

February 5th, 2017 02:22 AM #1585Majority ng car buyer eh looks talaga.
Boring talaga magcheck ng specificaton, numbers, ratings..... Dito papasok ang marketing kung paano nila maipakita yan without being too technical.

February 5th, 2017 10:40 AM #1586At the end of the day those safety ratings will still depend on the variant of the car you're getting and not just the name.

February 5th, 2017 02:06 PM #1587Hindi applicable dito sa atin ang ANCAP ratings ng Fortuner except kung yung 4x4 V AT model ang bibilhin mo. For all trim levels except the 4x4 V AT tinanggal ng Toyota ang curtain airbags.

So pag bumili ng Fortuner, hindi marunong sa sasakyan?
Each car buyer has different priorities. It's not always about specs. Many people discount the aesthetics of a car, but in reality it's a big factor for the majority of car buyers.
While you scoff at the Fortuner for having drum brakes, less features, and a higher price compared to other PPVs, the reality is that Toyota is making the big bucks because they've outsold all other PPVs by at least 2 to 1.

He probably meant some. The everest & mux & ms have better features-price ratio and combined theyre outselling toyotas fortuner.
My question though is, is toyota limited by their "limited" monthly deliveries?
It's looking a lot like a certain cruiser with that color scheme.
