but Fords are indeed built-tough coz my Ford truck Eddie Bauer is one. what I do is frequent the American forums for advice. not the FGP kasi obvious naman mga puro pagkatipiran mga tao dun.

so hayun, how much do I spend with my Ford EXplorer yearly, 2,500. P2000 for 5 liters orig Motorcraft 5W-30 FS Oil and P350 for the orig Motorcraft Oil Filter, + P150 sa Gasoline service change oil. that's my biggest secret hehe, and I get a truck that's so reliable and has prestige.

most fords are here and abroad change fluids and other major consumable parts like belts and sparkplugs are scheduled for replacement every 100,000 miles. take note miles. my FE is now 12 years old at 45KTKM mileage. wala pa ako pinapalitan kahit ano sa engine. with regards to suspension, America is also a manufacturing hub in the world, they really sell good aftermarket parts like the Moog and others. mas mura pa nga eto sa mga Japanese suspension parts.

kaya pag may naririnig ako na sabi di reliable ang Ford or Fix or Repair Daily, I let them. I let them become stupid and buy those Isuzus and Mitsus na kada PMS eh to the tune of Pho 12K to 18K lol. sinong naloloko sa crowd mentality.

I also trained myself for engine detailing and cleaning, I do it personally every sunday as a hobby so I get to memorize my Fords. maybe sometime in the future, I can get a Jeep commander as a hobby, and you know what I can make it as durable as any PPVs now coz like I said I train myself and I'm not afraid of problems.

to filipinos, reliability is spend less on parts, then harabas. but that's only becuase most filipinos never really tinker on their own cars.

to me, I can get an everest now, and I can make it last for 20 years sa nalalaman ko sa Ford engines.

ang okey pa sa mga Ford. it's park and forget. subukan nyo i-park yan mga Toyota or Isuzu nyo sa mga iskinita or say mga batangas port going to the beach, sigurado di kayo makampante kasi Hot car mga PPVS nyo, if there is a will, there's a way , pwede ma-carnap kasi dami meron, alam ang sikreto kung paano i-bypass ang security ng kotse nyo . but Fords, carnappers takot carnapin yan kasi baka gumastos pa sila

how's that for peace of mind. so next thing you discuss things like Fords are unreliable and the Toyotas and Mitsus are not, siguraduhin nyo lag lagyan ng lock ang spare tire nyo lagi lol
Well ganon din maningil ang ford casas or even higher pa. Running at 15k km now in 2 yrs. bought all orig consumable parts from thailand . Regardless of brand parepareho lang naman. But mitsu isuzu and toyota have so many aftermarket parts available than ford. So the cost is lower. With regards to carnap. Pa insured mo to have peace of mind.

ford casas are the role models of the isuzu, mitsu, toyota casas today. if they can charge more, why dont we. so given na yun. what im after is when youre the one doing your own maint, matipid ang ford coz the banawe retailers are well connected sa mga American aftermarket parts.

sa carnap, obviously di ka pa na-carnapan. it takes three months for the insurance to pay you and that is after a lengthy investigation period na tense na tense ka coz a third party insurer doest really concern about your trauma.

for me, this is where Fords have the edge, carnappers and carjackers avoid American cars like the plague. yun Ford Explorer ko nga iniwan ko na yan sa Vinzons Port sa zbicol, sa batangas port and other ports where I need to go to an islabd for a 2 night r&r.

can you seriously do that to your brand spanking Forts, montys and mux. the main purpose of vacation is peace of mind, how can you have peace of mind when your jap car is under the hands pf promdis na bibigyan mo lang ng 180 per day parking on a place where you are a total stranger. but not with Fords, fords dont interest the enterprsiing people, sa rent sangla ngs, walang ford lol

    Hi Sir Yebo / Mini,

Suggest ko lang please refrain from mentioning this and other good feat ng eve at magka idea ang iba...

LOL.

May unique serial/code vehicle number ang Everest natin maliban sa Engine and Chassis number, kaya madaling matrace kung nakaw or hindi.

fafa yebs, this is really where the Filipino logic fails. they justify buying their PPVS so that they can bring to occassional out of town trips.

the thing is if we analye the carnappings and carjackings and the recently popular rent sangla scam, the destinztion

of the cars are the PROVINCES, where the implementstion of the law is weaker.

your new Forts, Montys, MUXes can be driven naman sa provinces provided that your destination is secure enough like say you have your own parking lot say sa resort or sa hotel or youve beeen there na swveral times,

but what about yun mga first time as well as leaving your cars in a connecting city motel or a beach port or even Roro. you work all your life to afford that luxury car that is PPv and you literally send your car to the wolves - the promdis who buys these marvelous looking vehciles.

with a Ford or even a Chevy or maybe a Hyundai, nobody is interested in that. i do have another provincial well-maintained car alternate too, a Santa fe. these cars I being pag ang lugar hindi ako kampante.

you know the funny thing sbout this buyers of carnapped vehcilesm gusto din nila ng durable cars na mananakaw nila, so they only set their targets sa jap cars. wtf! nakuha na nga nila ng libre, gusto pa low - maint. it's so mind boggling but it is a reality only here in the Philippines. it's like mag-charity ka at mamigay ka ng 4x4 Ford Expeditions sa isang isolated mountain town, maiinis pa sila sayo at nagbigay ka lang, ford expedition pa

Eto ang malungkot na katotohanan sa sinabi mo, and I agree with that.

Tapos pag nahule in his possession dahil natengga walang bumibile, kalaboso agad siya. So the risk is not worth it for the pobreng carnapper.

Its a sad cycle. No one wants a Ford, thats why its not "hot". Its not "hot" coz no one wants it. Gets?

Yun car sa clark for a week while im out of country. But then tsambahan naman lahat. If say ford is less prone to carnap. It may be but when circumstances have perfect timing or easier to carnap. It will also be.
