Maganda naman ang nakikita kong offers for DP at reasonable ung monthly na 3 years to pay.

Pero hirap pa din ako mag decide.

Pwede sana paki share ung mga pro at cons ng both cars.

The Avanza has a 3rd row seat. The Soul has none.

Personally, I like the Soul more. However, if you need an extra space, might as well set yourself with the Avanza.

No idea about the release date of the new avanza. But pictures are up. May thread na dito nun..

Not considering an Innova? Or a Grand Livina perhaps?

Pero maganda naman ung group kasi helping each other a car problems nila.

If this would only be your car, then get the Avanza since it seats more than the Soul, if not then the Soul is a good choice.
You may opt to wait for the new Avanza though, malapit na ilabas yan as it has been seen on our local roads already.

If your open to the idea of purchasing a second-hand car, then you can take a fairly new 2008-09 CRV (4x2 or a 4x4).

I'd rather get the Avanza instead of the Soul since the interior space matters more than the exterior design for me.

Grand Livina is also a good option. Very roomy inside and strongly-built.

Yup. Maganda nga ang Nissan Grand Livina.

It looks small, but it's actually roomy inside.

2+3+2 ang seating capacity if I remember it correctly.

The soul will be definitely enjoyed by the kids because of its perks and uncommon looks. However, if you're unsure about its seating capacity ( 5 pax. 6, kung sardines ) you're better off with the Grand Livina or the Avanza.

Re: 2nd hand, you can always ask a friend of yours if he knows someone who is relatively familiar about cars. If you can't find one, you can somehow trust the mechanics from a reputable gas station.

And if you'll be considering one, the Kia Carens & the Honda CR-V comes to mind.

Kung baby stroller lang pala at bag ng milk ang meaning ng cargo for you, then no problems yan with compact sedans.

I carry frequently baby strollers ( notice the plural form ) on my 2 compact vehicles, plus their bag of milk and i still have some space to spare.

Ang alam ko ha, pero I might be wrong, may pagka-matagtag daw ang Avanza. Not sure with the Soul. Kaya IMO, for babies, best ang may pinaka-comfortable ride which is usually given by medium/full-sized sedans. ( 2nd hand camry, anyone? ... )

Toyota Harrier parang Innova? Diba RX350 based yun. Ehe-he!

For your budget, you should check out the 1.6AT Elantra, much more space than the Soul and performs better.

And since you're an OFW, with your wife taking care of the car, it might be a good idea to get one with a 5 year warranty.
