2013 toyota avanza AT. Low mileage (30-40k) 0r

2011 innova AT diesel mileage (70-80k)

for everyday used city driving..

im considering the longetivity ng car.. maintenance cost.

btw 1st personal car. nanghihiram lang po kasi sa parents..

If i were i will get the innova it offers more power for overtaking and bigger space compared to the avanza

Innova user here. definitely better than the Avanza in terms of engine and space kaya di ka magsisisi for Innova Tipid pa nyan since its a DSL.

Innova because of the size and diesel engine. Since you're buying pre loved im guessing malaki pa matitipid mo pa sa fuel costs immediately. Perfect pa more space for your family. Just make sure alaga at well maintained yun unit innova.

major concern lang din tlga yung pagtingin ng unit. since diesel siya mas maselan dapat? tama po ba? or it is just a myth? any tips mga sir

buying second hand is always a gamble, whether it's avanza or innova, diesel or gas.

but i like to think that a diesel engine is more robustly built than a gas engine, and will probably stand up to rugged use, better.
the innova body is of the toyota ims platform (think, fortuner and hi lux pick up). to me, this means, a stronger body and suspension.

and the innova diesel fuel costs, will run rings around the avanza's, what with the cheaper diesel fuel versus more expensive gasoline.

if you don't mind the larger body and the taller floor (senior citizens!), go innova diesel.

i'm a sucker in buying used cars.
but i like to think, that the private car owner-seller is usually more honest than the bayan seller, and may agree to discount his price, compared to the guy who makes a living by selling cars.

kulang kasi budget ko.kaya hindi innova nakuha ko.pero diesel engine din.pero kung nagka extra ako ng mga nasa 100k .hindi ako mag aalinlangan na diesel innova kukuhanin ko..kahit second hand.

Hingin mo yung PMS record ng sasakyan. Kung sa casa siya nagpapa-PMS, meron yung resibo. Kung sa labas naman, dapat meron din or at least may written record siya. Kung wala, mejo magdalawang isip ka na.

Yung sa makina mejo mahirap tingnan kung hindi ka expert. Pero pwede mo naman silipin ang engine bay. Yung mga madaling makita ay mga oil leaks.

Wag ka papadala sa magabok na makina. Hindi ibig sabihin pangit na makina kung magabok. In fact, kung magabok siya, malamang walang oil leaks hahaha

Inspect mo lang yung oil cap. Look inside kung malinis at walang sludge build up.

Tanungin mo na din kung anung langis gamit niya (or dapat nasa record niya ito).
