    need your opinions mga sirs,

ano mas ok long term sa dalawang ito? im based in pangasinan and my daily commute averages around 50 kms/day. alin sa dalawang ito ang "less" maintenance kung baga? with good water fording abilities is a plus. thanks sa mga output nyo.

p.s. requirement daw ni misis eh kasya ang 3 car seats sa second row.... ngek! tapos ang astang binata...

If you're after refinement and comfort, go for the Montero Sport. Otherwise, go for the Everest. Its got huge amounts of power (with lots of potential for even more), great handling, great off road capabilities, boat-like water fording capabilities with the water proof computer box and lots of toys inside.

    ^what he said.

and add to that, the Everest is really tough. You can ford it to more than waist deep flood waters. Lot's of torque and really the Best looking Truck out of the Casa IMO.

Hmmm... I'm also considering between this 2 SUV pati pala fortuner... :-)

Aba! 100k discount! Talagang ipinalalabas na nila ang stocks nila ah! Does this mean that the new Everest is coming really soon? Pero kahit papano, the current Everest is a good car. Aling variant ba yung inaalok sayo na may 100k discount?

2.5 AT XLT lang po.. pero I'm considering the 2.5 AT Limited. meron na kasing side airbags & reverse parking sensor. Mag add ka lang ng 90k.. Pero i think meron naman aftermarket na parking sensor as my SA suggested. And she says na pwedeng lagay mismo sa CASA so that wiring warranty will not be voided..

I see. Pero IMHO, side airbags are not very important naman. Considering that the Everest is a big vehicle, I'd suggest you get the XLT and have the sensors installed at the casa nalang. This way you'd be able to spend the extra money on something else more worthwhile.

Lol, Sir, What happened to safety? those are pretty important. Side crashes are deadly IMO, No engine to defend you (RIP AJ Perez)

Haha~ Well all of us are still alive today even though a lot of times the cars we ride do not even have airbags. IMHO no amount of windbags will be able to substitute an excellent rigid crash structure. Just look at manong taxi and jeepney driver who have been in the trade for say... 30-40 years and with naught but a prayer for his safety as his only safety feature.

Ako kasi I never found airbags very useful, in fact many of the cars we have do not have them. Its not that I haven't been in a side crash before. It was almost ten years ago and I was in our '97 Accord. We were in an intersection and there were two racing pedicabs and one of them crashed into our side and I was seated in the exact place the pedicab hit. All I remember was that I saw the pedicab hurtling, even flying towards me at very high speed. The driver of the pedicab was, in fact, thrown to the front of our car and there were passengers in that pedicab even! And yet here I am.
