Advice needed: 2004 Jimny or Hyundai Getz?

Hello!

I'm back .... and I need your help again

I've noticed that my steering wheel shakes a bit lately. This happens both when I'm braking and when I'm just cruising. It doesn't happen all the time though.. and not only when I'm driving fast. But most of the time when I'm at south super highway. I've experienced it when I'm driving 60 - 120 km/hr. When it shakes I either press on the accelerator or pump the brakes and the shaking stops.

The last time I've had my Jimny serviced in the casa was July. It's a Dec2002 model and runs on A/T.

What do you think the problem is? Is this something I need to have checked asap? I mean, am I endangering myself and others by not having this seen to kaagad? The car itself is not shaking nor the engine...just the wheel...

Malamang balancing lang po yan! Try mo pa-check sa mg Servitek. Di ko lang alam kung saan branches nun sa lugar mo pero kung dito sa Makati, sa TireMaster pwede din. Ganda ng Jimny mo! Ingit ako! hehehe!

hi shybabe: I drive a 2002 Jimny and have the exact same problem as yours. yup its the front tires and just needs to be rebalanced. that shouldn't be too much of a problem ;)

Thank you rking, russpogi, Tifosi, and Ungas! I plan on having the Jimny serviced sa casa on Wednesday. Sana nga tire balancing lang yung problem.

..and Tifosi I don't floor the gas naman eh. Steady climb to 120 yon mostly when I'm on the highway ;)

Tire balancing, it should give you the shake at around 80km/h. Or rotor disc warps? Hope not....
