    i have all of that in my D4EA kia carens engine...

    Diesel Engine - check
    Common rail - check
    Direct injection - check
    Turbo charged (VGT pa) - check

    alam ko pareho lang common rail at direct injection. just look at the 2003 Trooper's engine 3L TDi. It's commonrail.

    no, common rail pertains to the supply, direct injection is the delivery...

    4JA1 of isuzu is direct injection, but not common rail

    baka you mean is yung old school diesel engines na fuel injection pump tapos pag naubusan ng diesel need mo ibleed vs direct injected fuel?

    Crdi means the engine has both common rail and direct injection. As posted, common rail and direct injection are two different things.

    Common rail is not expensive to maintain. Just expensive to repair should it break down.

    Maintencance between crdi and non crdi are similar: regular filter changes at prescribed intervals.

    The most durable and the cheapest to run would most likely be the direct injection, turbocharged engine. Lesser delicate sensors to fail on you means lesser headaches in the long run. If it is turbocharged and intercooled, it should give good power too.

    Commonrail direct injection, turbocharged engines should ideally be the most powerful and fuel efficient. Hyundai's 1.5L U-line engine found in the Accent, Getz and Matrix, as well as Toyota's 2KD-FTV in the Fortuner, Innova, Hilux and Hiace are examples of this. But it still boils down to the engine tuning and driving style. But these can incur very expensive repair costs if you neglect its maintenance or something inside has reached the end of its life.

    Sandali lang, nalito ako dito.
    Ano ba ibig sabihin ni TS ng 1. Common,rail diesel,engine. Ito ba ay pertaining to CRDi (common rail diesel injection) parehas ng Hyundai, Toyota, Mitsubishi, etc.?
    2. Direct injection,turbo charged,engine ito ba ay yung diesel engine tulad ng Isuzu 4JA1 na direct injection dahil sa hindi gumagamit ng pre-combustion chamber sa dulo ng fuel injector & at the same time old school fuel injection pump pa rin ang gamit, OR Direct Injection gasoline engine (GDI) with Turbo Charger?? TS please clarify lang po. Thanks
