if not for the 1.3L engine, '03 sentra GX would be my choice, based on the criteria you mentioned(body design isn't to my liking though). ewan ko lang sa availability ng parts

as mentioned in the previous thread, don't expect sportscar performance - the current sentras(1.3L up to the 1.8) doesn't seem to be built for that. more on ride quality/smoothness sya. it's equipped with the QG series engine, which has won awards for low emissions and fuel efficiency

The QG13DE is really too small for the car. It's adequate at best in the GX, but don't expect any pep above 60 kph. (oh... yes, kaya niya ng above 170 km/h, pero matagal bago makarating.)

The QG16DE in the Exalta is a good engine, low emissions, smooth operation, but slow.

The QG18DE is adequate. Good choice, and not much of a guzzler given the weight of the car, as compared to most other 1.8s-2.0s on the market (except the Corolla, which gets terrific fuel economy).

And a note: the new Sentra seems to have more legroom than the old one... don't think it's as much as the current Corolla, but its sufficient.

Eto na ba yung bagong model na GLS, or yung pie pa rin? Ok ito. I prefer manual pero maganda na rin ang CVT. Yun nga lang, walang sports mode na +/- ito, so full automatic.

how bout this echo verso? looks like its got enough height to fit all 6"1 of you. plus its noted to be economical. not too many of these on the road but its a toyota.

i was searching through the classified and stumbled on to 2 very affordable Mazda 626s. They sell for 150k and 160k respectively. so technically you can buy 2 pretty big cars for the price of 1. If you put into consideration the bad conditions of many of our roads today you might want to get a mini-SUV/AUV, i stumbled on to a Suzuki Escudo(3-door vitara) for 210k, a 3-door box type Pajero for 265k, a 1997 Suzuki Vitara 4x4 for 325k and a 1999 Toyota Revo Gas for 350k. Those are some pretty good alternatives in my opinion. You could actually get a Suzuki Escudo + 1 of those Mazda 626s with your budget of 350k. I also saw a 2001 Opel Omega for 300k and a relatively unknown 2001 Kia Credos Executive for 320k.

You need to set aside about 30k or so to buy electronic sensors for the 626. At around 8-10 years of age, things like the cam position sensors start going.

But then, at around 10 years of age, you can expect to change a lot of things on midsized cars: My 626: steering rack, rear springs (fronts are still stiff), water pump, cam sensor... My friend's Accord: transmission (horrible, really), suspension arms, shocks... Galants: usually ball bearings every 50k or so, plus all the usual problems of old cars.

nakset up ng airfilter, mufflers, shocks, short shift, etc..
may butas yung sa likod ng rear seats kasi nilagyan ng speakers..
nirepaint yung harapan dahil natumbahan daw ng motor..
may onti sira yung rear seat pero minor lang naman..
may butas na maliit yung dashboard di ko alam bakit..
color black..
binibigay sakin ng 320k..may libre pa daw M3 na side mirrors..
hindi ko pa natest drive though maganda tunog makina..
kapag ala ba fuel yung car mahina tlga aircon???kasi parang ayaw lumamig aircon nya..
uhmm..ano pa ba..all power, leather seats, alang tint, ala naman dents yung body..
though yung skirts nya parang matatanggal dahil may nakita ako na parang epoxy sa loob nya..
yung sa may joints ng hood malapit sa windhield may nakita akong rust..
sabi sakin ng uncle ko baka daw nastock yung car ng matagal kaya nagrust..

fuel level is not related to the coldness of the aircon....bakit di mo pinatakbo? for me ha, stock car is still the best...di ako ok sa butas na interior...hanap ka pa madami pa dyan...

nastock kasi yung car for 2 months..d nggmit..kaay daw baka yung aircon d lumamig..may illgay lang daw sabi uncle ko???hehe

yung sa dashboard may small hole na kasing laki halos ng piso..dinaanan ata ng wires ng speakers..at yung sa likod yung pinaglagyan ng 2 speakers..

ichechek ko pa nman po tomoro kung ok idrive..d ko natest kasi ala fuel at ala yung may-ari nun..yung wife lang nya andun..saka ayaw ipalbas ng subdv. kng ndi kasama yung husband..

freon leaking?pero why is it leaking, faulty refitting ng pipes or may pinhole ang pipes.. one way is to check kung may langis sa pipe..ung area na malangis tyak dun ang leaking..common belief yang freon leakage,pero other things might come into play kaya mahina ang aircon....pwedeng kailangan na ng linis or palit na ng compressor kasi mahina na bumumba...

cars lang talaga gusto mo?suvs has more space, but i doubt kung merong 350K na mid/full-size SUV...katulad ng suggestion ng isa, echo verso...gen. 1 na forester/spacewagon/odyssey..
