IMO, try to inquire about auto loans on several banks to weigh-in your options. Professional naman sila kausap and they're the one to adjust on your capacity. On your budget, capable ka na makabili ng brand new subcompact.
And Bro, wag ka manghinayang kahit ifinance mo nang 6 years yung brand new. Even after 6 years, eh 6 years old pa lang din yung car. Let's say 2000 SiR which is 7 years old tapos bayaran mo ng what? For 3 years? After 3 years, the car would be 11 years old already.
My say is, kung bibili ka ng second hand i-cash mo na lang and have some extra for repairs. I just don't like the sense na ipang-uutang mo yung ipambabayad mo sa gamit na auto

still cant decide... brand new or a second hand? anu nga kaya? which is which. by the way weekend driving lang panigurado ang magiging gamit ko sa sasakyan na ito. pag day off pang sundo sa gf or panchicks. how about a second hand jazz around 450k? stretch ko nalang budget ko at maghigpit ng sinturon... how was that? is that a good idea?
* sinister_fadz
siguro SIR will be available on that price if its very rush talaga.hehe... and about the galant? i also love that car.but as what they've said. umiinom daw sa gas un. hehe. maganda at maangas talaga pero usually AT at madalang lang ang MT.
* VTEC
magandang point(about BNEW). baka magdildil na ako ng asin nyan pag ganun ang ngyari at nde din biro ang 5 years na bayaran.maybe i can compensate if its only 2 years 10k per month but 13k+ for 5-6 years? aray ko poh.hehe and btw.newbie lang din.first car ko lang po ung bibilhin ko.
* Kurusaki
May point ka poh dun sir. after 6 years. 6 years lang din yung car not unlike car that was manufactured 2000 and below. but i dont know if my budget will allow. di kasi ganun kalakihan ang sahod ko eh. hehe. at tingin ko wala ng matitira sa budget ko for a month,lahat dun na mapupunta lahat.
havent tried going to a bank and asked about car loan.kakahiya kasi eh.
im just 21 and they might say that im still young to do it db?and besides first car ko pa lang ito...how about a second hand JAZZ 2005 model MT?

I'm only 24 and sa case natin kailangan ng parents as co-maker if you're going to apply for a bank financing. You can apply through phone, usually interview lang naman pag apply pa lang. After CI when you got approved, then that's the only time they will ask you for requirements i.e. COE and ITR plus parents.
Okay ang Honda Jazz, but be sure its well maintained (don't know how to be sure). And like I said, if second hand kukunin mo, payo ko lang i-cash mo na lang kasi mas malaki interest ng financing pag used cars.
BTW, a brand new subcompact e.g. All new Vios 1.3J would only cost around 11-12K/month, DP is around 170K for 20% but this may vary depending on offers. Madami pa choices sa subcompact category. Kaya payo ko lang chong take your time and shop around pa. Malay mo, when the time comes baka SUV na pinagpipilian mo...
Like you, I'm in the hunt pa din for my first car. Hard earned money kasi gagamitin ko pangdown tapos finance upto 5 years kaya talagang pinagiisipan ko mga pros and cons nung mga choices ko.

well said. :clap:.
actually kakakausap ko pa lang sa isang sales exec ng Mitsu. at binigyan nya ako ng computation kung magkano and DP at ang magiging monthly ko. since my promo sila, dami ang libre. gaya ng LTO reg at ng chattel ba un? ganda ng offer but limited time since its promo, they said that it might extend but depending on the stock availability. its a lancer GLX 1.6 M/T. and based on what he said that this model is being phased out since the new model will be release this coming 2nd qt. Ok na sa akin yun but the problem is. laki ng monthly. 13 K for 5 years and 120k DP. sana kung malaki na ipon ko swak na swak na sana un. kung around 10-11 k lang sana monthly.
about sa vios na 1.3J? db un ung entry level and does not have all power feature? ang stock na mags eh ung parang sa jeepney - steel mags? hehe, ok xa kaso db? hehe. alam mu na un. gusto ko sana ung medyo may dating ng konti dun 1.3E(arte ko wala namang pera heheh)
ganda talaga pag brand new over used cars. since you will be the one to own it first. kumbaga sa babae. nakavirgin ka. cguro naman kahit sino gusto ng virgin i mean brand new car,
kaso pera lang talaga problema.heheh(well thats given)

Dude, actually I too have eyed on that same car...
If sa bank ka nagpacompute with the same terms, around 12K lang ang magiging monthly mo. Kaya lang habol natin is yung promo and if you go straight to the bank to finance, sasabihin naman nung SA hindi na qualified sa promo pag ganun. In the end, bale wala din. The same goes with my application for a Toyota Yaris.
Very sad! Akala mo nakamenos ka hindi pala.
I've been working my budget for a Getz CRDi, maybe 1Q of 2008. Sick torque you get with its turbocharged engine. Talo pa nga daw nito SiR sa stop and go traffic. Pero tipid pa din. This car is definitely a sleeper. You might wanna check it out too Bro.
