hi guys. im planning to buy a bnew car. budget is below 1M.

    My Choices:
Ford Focus 2013, Chevy Cruze, Elantra, Mazda 3 & Honda Civic.

Sa Ford naman i heard & my friend told me (ngwowork dati sa ford) sobrang mahal parts ng Ford, as in parang 2x price compare sa honda. Elantra naman, parang madaling masira? not sure. Honda Civic naman concern ko lang is yung Design, muka kaseng pang matanda or pang tatay compare sa previous civic. Sa mazda naman my friend told me mejo madaling masira Aircon ng previous mazda 3. Any Feedback sa new mazda 3?

    my concern is
#1. Maintenance cost (parts & etc).
#2. Design (gusto ko kase yung mukang bago, fresh looking)
    #3. FC.
    #4. Excellent interior and features.

thanks you very much in advance.

If you're buying now, I'd suggest you go for the Elantra 1.8 GLS (958k).

If you can wait, a new Altis is coming out in the next few months.

Korean cars have very much turned-around ever since 2000s. I'll treat the two Korean giants - Hyundai and Kia (actually, both of them are under Hyundai's corporate umbrella) very much like how most people have come to respect Samsung and LG in the flat panel industry.

The Ford's harder to get parts then the rest. But it still shouldn't be too hard.

Honda is also currently wanting to re-design the existing Civic FB thanks to its general "bad" press to the company. It's a walking testament on how Honda is settling for leniency and lazing it out rather than using their engineering to create better cars (the FD, however, was very well received).

As for the Mazda3, I've not much received complaints regarding it. It's not madaling masira naman.. but thanks to its gearing ratio and the relative underpowered engine, it sucks gas much more than its peers.

& i saw na merong New Civic sa US. matatagalan pa ata dumating yung new civic dito sa pinas. T_T

sa Ford naman concern ko lang is sobra daw mahal ng parts. yun lng talaga nagpapaturn off sakin sa ford. >.< pero if hindi naman nagkakalaro price range ng honda parts & ford parts ill go with the Ford Focus.

Your best bet is to wait for the new Toyota Altis. A generational change usually brings in a fresher design and subsequent "facelifts" build upon that which makes the car age more gracefully. Think about the older 2002 Altis or the 2002 Honda CRVs, when properly maintained, you won't say it's old at all!

^^ I always wonder why the Lancer is most of the time out of the equation when it comes to choices like this.

TS, why did you not consider the Toyota Altis? I'd pick that.

Almost the same considering the larger amount of oil used for the Everest. Both are bnew when bought.

wow. ok good. hindi nga talaga nagkakalayo. hehe..

Di ka mabibitin sa power and full of gadgets pa.
As long as may supply at parts na mabibili then walang problema kaysa naman sa walang parts na mabili if ever..

if your taking the fd, make sure to replace what the pms schedule dictates. seen some really bad damages dahil hindi sumunod na palitan parts.

With your choices I'd take the Focus din. Civic FB is not as cool as the FD pero ok na din sya.. ahahaha at least kumportable sya. Mazda 3, based sa old mazda 3 namin malakas sya sa gas, kaya abangers pa ako for next year's release if ire-release nga dito. haha

Where did you get that source that Honda won't be releasing it here? It's highly unlikely for Honda not to release the refreshed Civic. We're talking about bread-and-butter cars for automakers here not models such as the Honda Pilot. What's likely is that the refresh will take another year to hit our shores. That way, they can term it as the "new 2014 Honda Civic" and lessen the public backlash of immediately updating a same-year car model.
