    Hello, Everyone.

Eyeing one as a replacement to my Escape.

What are your thoughts on this car? Any issues that i should be aware of?

Budget is 650K btw. I'm also open to your suggestions.

    TIA Tsikoteers

The Carens is a good looking car. If I'm not mistaken it is also quite popular in the European market. However it sold really poorly here, probably due to the rubbish previous Kia distributor. So I am concerned with regards to parts availability outside of the casa.

    there's too few running around.
i think maintenance will be un-cheap.

let's wait for an owner to come in, for his experience.

Thanks for the feedback. What would be a better alternative within the price range?

I have noticed that an Everest of the same vintage costs pretty much the same. Of course it is an entirely different beast, but one that is tough and roomy. Add a little more and you can get the Montero. Of course these would mostly be the base GLX, but if you're willing to look at older units, some GLS-Vs or even GTVs may fit

If you're ok with MT, the cheapest Ertiga is so close to your budget. Otherwise, a used Mobilio and BRV will be look and drive closer to the Carens.

    Thanks for the recommendation.

Ill be driving this alone most of the time since my wife is working abroad. Mostly city driving but will sometimes be used on some out-of-town byahes with my parents and sibs (max of 6 pax).

I'll pass on the Everest since I own an Escape. I'll check the Montero. TIA.

Sorry pero walang dating sa akin yung bagong design ng Ertiga, same goes with the Mobilio and BRV.

    Anyway, salamat sa suggestion.

Brother owns one but he has the TOTL with panoramic sunroof. Some consumables for the D4FD engine can be interchangeable with the Hyundai Accent's D4FB which are pretty damn cheap (I own an Accent CRDI with a D4FB). Very frugal in long rides and driving feel is similar to a midsized car which is very different from pickup-based SUV's (PPV's).

Getting the TOTL has all the bells and whistles inside out but I prefer getting a 6MT for practical reasons. The TOTL has electronic parking brakes (I prefer manual lever handbrake type), has paddle shifters for its 6speed A/T (I still prefer the 6MT), and has a panoramic sunroof (heat can penetrate the cloth cover on very hot days unlike the no-sunroof variant).

Thanks sa input bro. Also eyeing the EX model.

Majority ng nakikita kong for sale is the LX version. Would you suggest that I get the LX rather than the TOTL EX model?

Also, just wondering how come ang baba ng resale value niya, almost half the price ang binaba for a 3-4 year old car. What scares me is baka parang Ford Fiesta/Ecosport na may issue pala kaya mababa resale value.
