I'm not sure if the trailblazer and Montero have ESP.. Pero sa SF mayroon and it really helps.. Nasubukan ko kahapon sa SLEX.. Mas stable siya on a high speed compared to my previous 2nd Gen pre-FL SF..

If you choose the 4X2 SF only, pwede na ang HARI... I opted to get a 4x2 instead a 4x4 even if I can afford it because of the price difference.... For some ang reason nila better nandyan kaysa wala... For me, personal choice ko lang.. Example, SUN ROOF, my other car has a SUN ROOF, mag 2 years na at hindi ko pa nagagamit... Eto pa, the other day, may isang SONATA na nasa CASA, basag ang SUN ROOF, nahulugan daw ng BUKO.. tsk tsk.. malas... I love the features of the KDM, kaso ang sablay talaga yung LCD cluster nya sa dash board, KOREAN and not ENGLISH, kung ok lang sa iyo yan, then go get the KDM version.. Kaso ako hindi ko ma take... Lastly, yung FC ng SF malaki ang improvement, from my previous 7 KM/L, naging 9.5KM/L for my usual route.

for 1.8M, I'd rather get a KIA Sorento. Pareho lang naman yan ng SF (i know na 3 lang ang choices mo though).

Actually, 4x4 is nice to have but not really my requirement. Santa Fe 4x2 is much more specced, Montero 4x2 AT is much cheaper, and TrailBZ 4x2 is only manual, so not really apple-to-apple when comparing these three. So, more of, which is a wiser buy right now given a budget of P1.8M.

kung ako may 1.8M bibile na lang ako ng Kia Soul + suzuki SX4. ditch the diesel, milking cow na ngaun yan both ng casa as well as fuel stations. Sa casa with their required quarterly PMS else void warranty, sa fuel stations by providing dirty fuel coz of e sudden surge of PUvs.

Sa gasoline suvs ngaun, every 7500km na ang PMS, pag synthetic 10000km pwede ba stretch. tapos ang mura lang ng engine oil coz gas engines require just 1 to 1.5L liters of engine oil. Sobra sobra na.

Tas yun na nga dalawa pa tsikot mo, na may high ground clearance tas manuverable sa traffic, unlike the bulky and fat slow diesel suv. and since, mura lang acquisition, 2 insurance mo instead of 1 big limp some annually, a 1.8 M car can go 70K insurance annually.

And the cars themselves, are insurance.

    -----

And also lastly, the smaller cars will save you from becoming big in the future, consider the smaller suv as your belt, pag di ka na kumakasya ibig sabihin lumalaki ka na, and therefore, you'll consume more resources, your expenses will grown exponentialky as your intake of fats, and lastly, magkarun ka ng diseases pag tanda mo, and therefore, instead of spending your retirement money for leisure and relaxation, you'll spend it on medicines and hospital bills

SF (basta huwag HARI dealer para hindi every 3-months ang PMS), for ride comfort. yung MS and TB both pick-up based, although 5-link yung TB so malamang better ride. sabagay i-test drive mo naman. all other criteria same lang sila. sa toys, bago lang TB baka wala pa.

BTT: Get the Trailblazer, maiba naman.

Rule nila. Pero nasa SA din yan e. Me mga items ako na hindi ko sinusunod sa kia PMS and some outside installations sa sorento . Binibiro ko kung movovoid ba warranty? Ok lang daw hindi daw. Besides wala namang way para matrace ng HARI/CAC un on warranty claims. Nakadepende sa SA.hehe

How about PMS experience, can you pls share your good and bad experiences (and average costs) when getting your car sevices in
    -Chevrolet
    -Hyundai
    -Mitsubishi

And also when making warranty claims. So far, I have no experience dealing with Chevrolet and Hyundai.

    Thanks.

Malamang the Chevy will impose the 3mos PMS rule else void warranty coz it's owned by TCCI aka HARI

Yeah hindi mo ba alam yun. That's why wala sa Campi motor show ang hyundai and chevy. The Lee guy is a loner cunning businessman, na-beat nga nya ang Campi with his Hyundai business style. he's doing it now with Chevy, that's why chevy nowadays eh medyo maganda na ang patakbo.

Yun na man 3 month rule eh money making schemes ng mga Casa, i just dont know why the Lee guy is allowing it. Kse kami we've been a Hyundai loyalist since 2k5, with 3 hyundais crdi to date. And we were never treated as such yun forced void warranty.

I figure pakana ito ng mga dealers to make money.

    ----

Actually, i believe that's one reason why the trailblazer is overpriced. he owns the 2 contenders to the Montero and Fortuner which are the SF and the traiblazer. He doesn't wish to be top selling, he just adds the sales of both SF and Trailblazer and a price premium. So even if he is in third place sa mid Suv wars, profit naman sya derived from 2 Suvs. That's still market share but with comparable profits.

    Very smart noh?

How's the stock situation for Santa Fe and Trailblazer? Mahaba pa rin ba pila to get one?

So far, wala pa kong nakikitang 2013 Santa Fe or 2013 Trailblazer sa kalye. Sa showrooms ko pa lang nakikita.

I understand Montero is much easier to get one nowadays.

basta diesel you can't risk the 10Tkm PMS rule, this is purely marketing gimmick. The philippine traffic scheme is considered hazardous environment.

Sa manual kse Ng 2006 SF ko, there are 2 PMS schedules 10T and 5Tkm. The 10Tkm PMS is suggested for environments like siguro sa Europe where there are more highways and less bumper traffic. The 5Tkm is yun na nga for environments deemed hazardous (cant remember the exact manual term)

this is the very first diesel pickup truck of Asian chevy, and you're gonna take their word for it na 10Tkm durable yan trailblazer. If that we're a Kia soul or accent body diesel with a 10t km rule PMS, possible pa siguro coz less strained ang engine having a lighter body.

But this trailblazer is almost as big as the prado, tapos ganyan sila ka-confident kagad sa service sked.

Tsk tsk tsk. This is the securitization age folks wherein car dealers sell cars for secondary reasons, they make money on selling the Loans to investors. Yan kasi installment scheme Ng cars eh returns eh more than 20% per annum. It certainly beats the market, and fixed income security pa yan

I don't follow the every 5k kms PMS ng Mitsubishi for the Strada and the Montero since last year. Talagang tuwing 10k kms lang ako pumupunta sa casa for PMS. And guess what? No problems whatsoever.

Oh BTW, same owner ang TCCCI at HARI. Ricardo Lee, the uncle of Elizabeth Lee. While they have the same owner, they have a different management team and operate independently of each other. Parang BMW at Kia. While they are both owned by Jose "Pepito" Alvarez, magkaiba sila ng management team. And they operated independently of each other din.

The term they use is extreme driving conditions, heavy traffic, dusty environment, etc.
