2013 Kia Sorento vs Montero non/Vgt a/t

TS: as owner of both SUV and CUV(both crdi)...personally i like the CUV for city driving and daily use because of its size and FC ...but usually for weekend and provincial trips and assignments i prefer the SUV...IMO its not about budget coz your comparison is very close (in terms of price) and it seems within your budget but what will be the primary or secondary use for you then you know which one to buy.

I also saw a montero non vgt belching black smoke on overtaking. Wala pa naman plate yun. Brand new na brand new. Ü. Saw it sa Aguirre st. Paranaque

It's not a Reguis, it's the usual flat nosed Hi-ace that has a 1KZ-TE engine. Yung Regius ata eh 2.5L lang yun at hindi 1KZ-TE makina nun eh...

How is the CASA after sales service and warranty claims of KIA? I think the Sorento is one fine SUV, but I am a little bit skeptical of KIA's post sales support since I see many dealers located in strip malls and they do not have any service bays. How does it compare to the Japanese brands post sales support?

i never had problems with regards to after sales support of casa for my 3 kias. also dami din parts oem and replacement makukuha outside casa including surplus parts and engine. also interchangeable and mga engine and suspension parts ng different model of kia and hyundai. yung nasira yung power steering pump ng 2008 kia carens crdi ko, steering pump ng 2008 hyundai tucson ang nilagay ko mas mura kasi. they share same engine kasi.

Same here, okay ang experience ko sa Kia Congressional. Hindi sila tumigil sa kahahanap ng naging hard starting issue nung Sportage namin.

We own a kia, its our only family car and its diesel. Its not that hard to maintain since there are many available parts outside casa even here in cebu. I think it depends po on the dealership.

I was able to drive both, i drove a first gen kia sorento and a monty. Mas carlike po ung ride ng sorento at un lang mo masasabi ko for a commoner like me.
