    2013 Hilux 2.5 E 4x2 Dsl M/T = P977k
    2013 Strada 2.5 GLX 4x2 MT = P985k

    - Which is a better? In terms of the following:

    1. Reliability
    2. Maintenance - Ease and Cost
    3. Fuel Efficiency
    4. Ride Comfort
    5. Overall performance

    - What are the common problems for the Hilux or Strada, if any?

    - What are the advantages and disadvantages of driving a pick up?

I am choosing between the 2014 full model change Altis or a pick up. Because of the worsening flood situation in Metro Manila, maybe it would be more practical to drive a taller vehicle?

I am also thinking of adding a campershell. I know, I know

Also, does anyone have any idea of the cost of TVSS? The Hilux does not include it kasi.

I have no idea sa mga pick up but since your a loyalist sa Toyota, take the hilux.

Tapos if your after a monsoon vehicle, get the 4x4 version kasi it has more height and grip (4x4) if needed.

Same situation here. Looking to get a Vios, already reserved but after the recent flood, bago isip bigla.
BTW according to my research, max flood height:

    Hilux 700mm
    Strada 500mm
    Wildtrak 800mm
    Jimny 650mm

pero i believe the strada can do what the hilux can

so strada for me because of ride comfort

    Mas mataas pala sa hilux.

I cannot go beyond P1M so 4x4 is not an option If there were no budget constraint I would get a Montero talaga.

70k ata yun.

I can stretch to P1M but definitely cannot go beyond that. Hassle nga kc I was planning on getting s matic for my next purchase.

10k pms of my strada costs about 9k. Basta di lalagpas ng 10k.

Why not matic?

If I were the one buying, ill take a field master in a heartbeat. Change all parts that needs replacing then snorkel. If possible, add height and 13's ar mags plus mickey Thompson tires. Kahit waist deep kaya.

Tapos modify mo nalang like snorkel etc etc.

Baka mahirapan ka lang magdrive ng pickup.

Or a fairly new 2nd hand Monty. Mga Year 2011-2012

The AT is way beyond my budget. I definitely cannot go beyond P1M. Hindi rin option ang 2nd hand sakin esp with the recent 2 habagat episodes.

Jimny sobrang liit and ayoko talaga sa maliliit na vehicles. The bigger the better :naughty2: Walang kaso sakin ang large vehicles. I used to drive a Gen 1 Pajero going home to Laguna and I find it easier to drive than a sedan.

I saw the value of driving a tall and large vehicle esp with our situation now in Metro Manila.

Pero most likely with insurance and all mag-over pa rin 1M. Haha.

Anyway going back, Strada & Hilux, both good pickups yan. Probably both outgoing models na rin.

Pero besides that, trusted na yan dalawa. With Hilux being the less faulty of both. Yun Strada if I'm not mistaken nagkaron ng issue with SCV yata yun. Pero I think it's fixed already. Sinasabi ko lang naman.

Hilux, definitely a workhorse. MATAGTAG in short. Starex_Gold has one. And nakakatakot daw patakbuhin at very high speed, parang umaangat likod. Pero pogi. Matagtag nga lang.

Strada, more of both (workhorse and cruiser) and I guess this one suits you well. Yun Hilux kasi aside from matagtag, masyadong macho. Hehe.

Kaya naman niyang Strada lumampas ng baha. Ayaw mo mag-Strada GL? New rims, new tires, snorkel, arb bumper, a good lift, upgrade lights.... overfenders

After ng mods for sure mas maganda ka pa sa stock Strada GLX hehe. Btw di mo na kelangan nung lid. Yun niroroll lang pwede na
