We have a 2011 L300 FB made by Metro trucks. The rear body is already showing manufacturing deficiencies this early - thin paint on roof (now spot surface rust), inside rust on the rear drip mould gutter, leaks from rear door, etc....

basti, as for your FE71 aluminum van, is it the composite type or the regular flat sheets with visible rivets? Hope you can PM me who made it for you.

How's the performance and reliability so far ? Casa serviced or own maintenance?
Sa Royal Caloocan kami nag pagawa, it is because marami na kami transactions sa kanila before. I'll check with the price, hindi kasi ako nag asikaso nun. But knowing us sa office, sa pinakamura namin usually pinapatira. 2 days lang ginawa yun as I surely remember. I'll post pics of the aluminum van tomorrow when I get to the office.

Casa serviced so far, pero sa 10tkms, sa labas na to. OK naman performance. Like buying a brand new regular Jap car. Hassle-free.

Congrats on your new truck sir. Is it gonna be aluminum van? Yung mga binili namin dati na pinagawa sa casa pangit ang gawa, madaling bumigay. After that kami na nagpapagawa ng body outside of the casa, ang maganda gumawa ng body is Po Chuan, not sure kung sa Tondo ba yun o Navotas, mas mahal sya by mga 50% siguro kesa sa casa accredited body builder pero yung mga pinagawa namin sa kanila wala pang major repairs till now considering that its been almost 20 years. Yung mga Canter naman namin na kinuha ang body sa casa major repair na ang inabot even before it was 10 years old.

The company is quite wary of aluminum bodies.

The plan is to have Centro make the rear body out of G.I. Metal. Imagine an FB without the side windows and sturdier rear doors. Yes its very expensive. I think it could hit 200K. 170K if its an FB rear body.

The dealer will coordinate with Centro so there is also a markup involved.

    Hi, thanks for this tip.

We had the rear body made by Po Chuan. Quality is apparent and they really know what they are doing. You also get to deal/coordinate directly with the owners and not sales people unlike in giant companies like Centro, Almazora, Metro Truck, etc with its complicated corporate structure. I think Po Chuan specializes in all kind of aluminum rear body - rivet and rivet-less.

Have not idea about the price of others but the company spent less 100K for the entire alu rear body from Po Chuan.

Nice to hear Sir that you're happy with Po Chuan. On another note, our company was able to purchase a slightly used Canter FE71 for 750k, problem is that the body is a stake body. But then ok rin naman since papaconvert din naman to aluminum van although we need to change the registration. Personally ok na rin sa tingin ko, you get a very fresh slightly used Canter FE71 for the price of a Sobida recon Isuzu Elf, san ka pa? Di ba ok na rin?

Our compny's plan now is to gradually replace the fleet of old Canter FE304 which has served the company well for the past 20 or so years with slightly used Canter FE71 or even the earlier model one as long as its fresh. Since we acquired the FE71 and also another 2008 Canter, 2 units of the old FE304 have been sold. There are still 4 units of the old Canters, siguro mga next year na yan mapapalitan.

Yep, the body description in the CR must match whatever is actually on the cab chassis.

Actually the traffic enforcers were not so strict about this until about 2009-2010. For the longest time, our L300 delivery van had "FB Body" written in the CR. Its a real hassle to apply for change of status regarding the CR. One must go through stencil, PNP clearance at Crame, then wait for it to process at LTO, etc...

ARC Refreshments Corp. invests on brand new Mitsubishi and Fuso vehicles

ARC Refreshments Corp. (ARC) recently purchased a fleet of brand new Fuso trucks and L200 Single Cab from Mitsubishi Motors Phils. Corp. (MMPC). ARC is a Filipino owned company engaged in the beverage business. Exclusive license to manufacture and distribute RC Cola was awarded by RC Cola USA to ARC. Other brands that ARC carries are Fruit Soda Orange, Juicy Lemon and Arcy’s Rootbeer.

With the nature of their business, it is crucial that they invest on reliable vehicles that will be very helpful in meeting their delivery targets and requirements. The decision to invest on additional brand new units was triggered by the company’s expansion and growing demand for ARC’s products. With this, the company could not afford any downtime caused by frequent delivery truck breakdown. Since 2012, ARC had entrusted all their vehicle needs to MMPC. To date, a total of one hundred sixty eight units (Fuso trucks and other Mitsubishi vehicles) were already purchased by ARC to MMPC. More than fifty percent (50%) of this figure accounts for the Fuso trucks. The Fuso Canter trucks and other Mitsubishi vehicles are perfect partner for their expanding business most especially today that ARC has now joined the ranks of major players in the beverage industry with a market share that is steadily increasing every year.

As a symbol of continued commitment and partnership to provide only world-class and quality vehicles that are reliable and easy to maintain, a turnover ceremony was held at ARC plant located in Antipolo City. Leading the ceremony is MMPC Executive Vice President for Marketing Mr. Junya Masuda and ARC Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Mr. Gerry Garcia. Mr. Masuda expressed his gratitude to Mr. Garcia for his trust and continuous confidence on Mitsubishi and Fuso products. Mr. Garcia was very much delighted as the fleet of new Fuso trucks and L200 were delivered to them. He recognizes that investing on Mitsubishi vehicles and Fuso trucks is essential for the success of any business. World-class beverage like RC Cola deserves only world-class vehicles.

LBC acquires brand new Mitsubishi and Fuso vehicles

LBC Express, Inc., the country’s largest Express Courier, Cargo and Money Remittance Service Company recently took delivery of brand new Mitsubishi and Fuso vehicles from Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC). LBC has been moving anything and everything for the Filipinos. For more than 60 years, LBC has provided hassle free delivery via air, land, and sea cargoes, from cash remittance to simple packages and container loads of business logistical needs. To make sure that this fast and reliable service is maintained, LBC chose Mitsubishi and Fuso vehicles.

A fleet of L300, Canter FE83 and Canter FE71 were delivered by MMPC to LBC. For 2014, LBC acquired 198 units of Canter FE71, 44 units of Canter FE83 and 58 units of L300. Heading the turnover was MMPC Executive Vice President for Marketing Mr. Junya Masuda and Mr. Gerard Payaoan Vice President Systems, Distribution and Delivery of LBC. Other MMPC executives, LBC officers and staff and Diamond Motor Corp. officer were also present to witness the simple turnover.

With the nature of LBC’s business, vehicle downtime is a major letdown. Mr. Payaoan is confident that their new fleet of Mitsubishi and Fuso vehicles will deliver the outstanding performance, reliability and ease of maintenance that they require in their delivery vehicles. Mr. Masuda was delighted to receive LBC’s trust in MMPC’s products and assured LBC that they made the right choice.

I wonder ano mangyayari sa market share ng Isuzu N series. Lagi nila pinagmamalaki na number 1 sila in terms of sales since late 90s.

Hi guys Im looking to buy a brandnew fuso canter fe83 6wheel since I cant find a decent secondhand unit, question is may truck ban ba siya?

Medyo confused lang, Truck ban is said to be set at 4500 Gross Capacity Weight, so pertaining to payload ba siya or Gross Vehicle Weight?

Literally, Capacity = Payload but Im not so sure, minsan misleading MMDA so

FE83 Payload is 3.8Ton so no truck ban or
GVW is 6Ton so have truck ban?

AFAIK, its based on the Gross Weight. FE83 is within the truck ban catagory. Only FE71 is not part of truck ban.

    ================

Our FE71 is about 6 months now and almost 10,000 kms already. Just received the plates last week. OR/CR indicate "August 2014". So I'm not sure what happened bet. May to August. Did it really take the dealer that long to submit the papers to LTO ?
