They managed to make the escape look uglier! what an achievement! I wonder how this is gonna stack up against the next gen CUVs... especially if mazda brings in the CX (i forgot the name)

Medyo upmarket ang CX7, don't know if they'll bring it in at CUV prices, as it's shaping up to be a premium CUV.
The Escape may or may not look like that when it gets here. Baka iba nanaman ang trimming ng ASEAN version.

The most important question, are these newly engineered next generation chassis or the same old ones slapped with flashier blinkers (lights), bumpers, wheels, etc.?

IMO i dont find the Tribute prettier...it looks like a last minute sketch from their artist to make it in line with their other real zoom-zoom cars.
and yes, the CX7 is more upmarket...battling with the likes of Murano, Pilot, hilander et al, but i heard Mazda's is cooking a smaller CX3 to replace the Tribute and i can smell that it's gonna be a real Zoom-zoom CUV this time.

*number001: They're probably end of the run facelifts before the new models come out (2007-2008). There's not much call to do re-engineering on them anyway, not until they're replaced.

Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
