Kung pagpipiliin kayo what would you get? Di sa pagyayabang but dont use price as a reason as both cars are within a similar price range.

The new CR-V or the current Forester?

Hands down I'd go with the Forester...

Their 2.0L A/T variants are evenly priced but the Forester is equipped with all-wheel drive.

If you want manual mode and permanent AWD, go with the Subaru.

If you want practicality and cheap price, go with the New CR-V (even if the front looks damn ugly)

Overall, I guess the Forester (2.0 or 2.5) has the slight edge.

Waah!

In my provincial trips, they do sell 95 octane gasoline.

Btw, the 2.0L of Subaru produces 8 more horsies & the peak torque comes around 1000 rpm lower than that of the new CR-V. :fyi:

kung sa pinas gagamitin, i'll prefer the CR-V for practicality and value for money.

i don't get it, if we are going to talk about value for money then the fxt is the way to go, the crv is really lacking in features. for the lower version of fxt you already get awd unlike in the 2.0 version of crv its only 4x2 and the two actually cost almost the same.

practicality... i would agree with you, more casas, parts etc etc.

i also don't get it, I clearly said that 'KUNG SA PINAS GAGAMITIN, I'LL PREFER THE CR-V FOR PRACTICALITY AND VALUE FOR MONEY'.

I posted my own choice as suggested on the description of the forum 'KUNG IKAW ANG PAPIPILIIN' that's why I used 'I'LL PREFER'. I also can't recall saying let's talk about value for money 'coz if I want other people's opinion on value for money, I'll have a separate forum for it.

I don't know what 'LOWER VERSION OF FXT' are you talking about, 'coz what I know is that the FORESTER only have 2 variants in the philippines, the X and XT, the X being the low-end and the XT being the top-end of the FORESTER range. And from what I read before, 'FXT' is short for FORESTER XT and there's only one version of 'FXT' no lower or higher version.

I've already test driven FORESTER and also all-new CR-V here in europe. And considering the type of usage that it will get from me if I use it in the philippines, I'll choose the CR-V

I have my own reservations in defining practicality and value for money and it doesn't stop on features and drive systems and you don't know them. So who are you to lecture me about value for money?
    YOU DON'T KNOW S**T!!!

I posted my own opinion on this forum and I didn't do it for you to agree or disagree with me. If your preference is different from mine, then go ahead and post your own opinion instead of critisizing and giving unsolicited advice to the opinion of other members.

you sounded like you're the most intelligent person in the world giving me points to and not to consider in value for money, but the fact is it's also just your own opinion.

you must learn how to RESPECT other people's opinion and not act as if you're an ALL-KNOWING person.

tsk.... tsk..... kaya siguro hindi pa rin umaasenso ang pilipinas eh! kasi meron pa ring mga taong NAG-MAMAGALING at PAKIALAMERO.

(another form of CRAB MENTALITY) Peace!

iiinaslao, pabayaan mo na kasi yung tao.

It may be questionable nga kung bakit pinili niya ang kotseng iyon pero if that's his choice, then let him. We won't have any further say on that. He'll take responsibility in his decision and accept any consequences of that purchase (may it be good or bad...or both) pero leave the guy alone.

In short, if "sandamakmak" wants to buy a vehicle that has an ugly shitlooking front end that is the WORST ever seen in the global auto industry, then by all means let him do so.

At the end of the day, it's his choice (much like how we have our own choices) whether we like it or not. Let's not question that any further.

    Peace brothers

only owned a 1st gen crv once, and never driven any other crv gen or Subarus.

but in my 2 cents, sa external looks... Subaru. I find the new CRV butt ugly...
