March 31st, 2007 12:44 AM #22Don't underestimaste the power of honda's engine. We had a subaru forrester 2.0 AT 2004 model and our CRv 2003 2.0 AT model smokes the crap out of it. We raced from Zamboanga to Dilopog where paved straight lane stretches as far as you can see. I admit subaru's engine is smoother. parang di umaandar pag idle. pero pag mahabaan ang karera mahina sa high rpm's. Also diffucult to sell, di pareho crv namin pinagaagawan pag binenta mo. ang subaru kaw pa namimilit para bilhin...

i believe those who want a Subaru want to be different. ika nga maiba naman from the common mentality.
it's like a motorola phone, pero after 5 months gusto mo na bumalik sa Nokia ulit. pero pano na, laki din investment na 1M++ so stuck ka na for serveral more years, seems like stuck forever na din ang feeling
kung gas SUV din lang, CRV na. kasi CRV lang ang mataas ang resale value ngaun na di-gasolina. i'm quite surprised that our Gen1 CRV still has a resale value of 400k++. eh less than 800k lang bili namin dito noon hehehe

i do want a subaru, not just to be different, but im a person who is aggressive, dynamic, young and energetic. and i want a personal car that would somehow reflect those characters, ofcourse responsible driver naman tayo at di naman bastabasta lang ihahataw. eversince nagtestdrive ako ng Subaru (FXT at WRX), naging bigfan nila ako. iba yung pakiramdam eh, raw and macho plus the power, handling and ride.
resale value? mataas nga sa CRV, pero pag nakakita ka naman ng Forester eh naiiyak ka sa inggit. i do drive a Santa Fe, im very happy with it, really. but im still dreaming about having a Forester XT or WRX, kung bibigay ng Langit.
so i think, mas importante tinitibok ng puso mo.
but thats just meLast edited by yuichi; March 31st, 2007 at 05:11 PM.

I always choose performance over looks.
I'd choose a Subie over a Honda anytime.

March 31st, 2007 05:59 PM #29For me, its all a matter of personal taste. if crv had the engine and drive layout of a subaru. it sell millions more. but nobody's perfect i suppose. For me its a CRV hands down. after all if you really want a speed machine, get a mitsu evo or a WRX not a forester.

I went with him at LTO's The Link satellite office nung nag-renew sya. We were given a number to...
