there are several choices available so you really need to shorten the list. you first need to set a budget this will narrow your choices sufficiently. you need to list down your requirements you said 4x2 ok na so that 1 criteria. you also said you want diesel, however, you need to decide if you want CRDi (quiet diesel) or your basic diesel (noisy). next you need to decide whether you want a 5 seater or 7 seater. if you decide that you want a 7 seater you now have to look at the 3rd row seat. Ford Everest and Isuzu Alterra both offer 7 seaters but the 3rd row seat is not acceptable for adults or even teens, however, the Isuzu Crosswind and the Hyundai Santa Fe offer acceptable 3rd row seating. Lastly is test drive the choices you have to see the power and handling of each.
For me if you have 1.5m to spend get the Hyundai Santa Fe CRDi you wont regret it.

i think you should get the captiva. this is now my motivation kaya trabaho ako ng trabaho ako ngaun. I visualize myself driving a CRDi captiva all the time. with 2 CRDi cars, wala na ako hihilingin pang tsikot sa universe hehehe
Choice I would have made as well.
