I'd hit the Optra wagon... except for worries about service.. ...but I seriously like the looks and utility of the car.
The Sentra isn't a bad choice. Not the fastest or best-handling, but the ride is relatively smooth and the QG16 is a pretty good engine. There should be no maintenance problems, and with the good number of base model GX's around, QG parts should be readily available from outside suppliers by now.
Also, the interior is pretty comfortable, the new front seats much better than the Sentra seats of old.
Still wasn't convincing enough to keep me from jumping ship and going to Ford, but an okay car, nonetheless, if you're not worried about image.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I'm also for the Sentra. One of the most underrated local vehicles in the market today. Kaya masarap bumili kasi desperado. hehehe. Wala naman hidden defect or anything. Mahina lang talaga brand power ng Nissan dito sa atin. Kaya dami mong discount at freebies na makukuha.
Yung dealer namin dati kulang na lang maglatag ng red carpet para samin.
Nabenta na namin Sentra. Subsequent owner (my uncle) is still extremely happy with it (pinalit niya sa AE101 Corolla niya).

August 25th, 2006 01:59 AM #16why not get an altis m/t or the new civic 1.8 m/t rather than these 2? my m/t altis gets about 10km/l city driving and has never broken down worst is battery drained in the third year and the new civic as far as i know is very fuel efficient at least bago pa
pero if you really insist on just these 2 models .. sa sentra ako

I'd go for the Optra 1.6 LS M/T(P738K), it comes with a standard driver's airbag, 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS, 5-disc CD changer, and Five 3-point seatbelts and 15 inch alloy wheels.
For P668K you can get the Optra 1.6 L, which has similar features to the GSX but costs around P50K less. (1.6 L models also have 4-wheel disc brakes, but no ABS).Last edited by AG4; August 25th, 2006 at 12:28 PM.
