I will definetly choose the Hyundai Tucson coz it's more solid, it's not cheap looking and it has CRDi diesel variant.

The Tucson CRDi is non-VGT and the lag is noticeable.

Consumer Reports recommends the Tucson and not the Sportage.

hi guys, ive been reading tsikot for several months and it has really expanded my knowledge in vehicles. From a simple comparison, maintenance, good dealers, etc. this forum didnt bore me even once . so more power to tsikot

i already searched the forum reg. sportage but i guess im not yet satisfied from the opinion of the owners. I want more hehe. My family is planning to buy another suv as an alternative to coding but it wont be a stock vehicle. i found cars too little for me. Once a week din to magpapahingan cause of coding.
so my question is which is better:

hyundai tucson 4x2 versus the kia sportage 4x2 (both gas variant)
    pricing
    safety features
mileage, sportage mileage according to one SA was 9-10km/l mixed driving
    resale value
colors=white for me cause it looks more visible at night driving
and for the rustproofing, is it true that since its imported from korea these are already "factory rustproofed" matibay na ba un?
and finally this would be the first car that will have my name on the reg. papers

any recommendations for a good dealer? thanks in advance

    Sir,

I think the Tucson and Sportage are both the same underneath. But I would personally go to the Tucson because its better equipped. I think...

Plus, you can get Hyundai's 5 year warranty.

For the base model, I think, Sportage is better-equipped. Brakes are already all-discs plus it has ABS.

There are some dealers that give discounts. They have a Free IPOD shuffle promo this October.

Tested both even though i had several bad experiences from Kia Sportage wayback 96. I am now a proud owner of the Tucson CRDi. Engine performance is excellent considering its diesel. So far i don't have any complains. I replaced my petrol powered CRV w/ this Diesel Unit. My unit consumes 9 to 10km/ liter city driving and 13 - 15km/L if i go out of town. My last travel was Baguio and we're full pack! The engine went smoothly up- no buckling whatsoever. I am happy and satisfied. Good luck

hehehe.. to tell you honestly mga paps... Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage e walang pinagkaiba from each other.. Sa interior maluwag lang konti ang leg room ng sportage compare to tucson.

They dont have too much difference beacuse Kia is the sister company of HARI (Hyundai Asia Resource Inc.)..

I've been a member of Wheels Inc. in E. Rodriguez because all my units are fresh from that CASA.. hehehe...
