when i sat inside the focus and about to open the hood, di ko talaga makita. I called the SA. He told me, "sir dito po". I answered:"huh?, dyan? pano?" there, he showed me how. sabi ko sa kanya "di ba hassle yan?", responded smiling.
vicoyski, wala daw according to the SA. "new concept" daw sabi nila ng Ford.

What? Then that means you'll need a spare key just to open the hood while the engine is running. Hassle nga! Didn't they see this when they launched it at Europe?

Another question... Does the key need to remain in the hole while the hood is open, or can you pull it out once the hood pops open?

No offense meant sa mga Honda car owners, pero parang pinalaking honda city talaga yung bagong civic (based sa spy pics).

Heres a photo with them side by side (City's headlamps edited).

Hindi ko sigurado kung magiging best seller ulit ito. Nissan is also preparing a new model, they could release the tiida here (currently sold in japan) or a tiida based sentra.

Nakita ko na yung Tiida dito sa HK, parang maliit, parang pantapat lang sa vios, pero baka maliit lang tingnan. executive looks, hindi sporty. Heres a spyshot I got from the web.

trex, nabasa ko rin yun yung tungkol sa sentra na sa 2007 pa. Based dun sa nakita ko na Tiida, I don't think yun ang dini describe dun, of which was described as

"The car will be aimed at people in their 20s. The current Sentra is "conservative," says Shiro Nakamura, Nissan's chief designer. He says the new one will offer "dynamic and modern" styling. The car, scheduled for 2007, is expected to appeal to buyers aged 20 to 25 who would pay about $13,000. It may be the next generation of the Japan-market Nissan Cube."

So I guess the Tiida will be a car in the range of the vios and city. I think it will have its own "supporters".

okay since now we'r all off-topic (this thread is about Focus & Civic remember?) was able to Test Drive the Nissan Tiida (outside Pinas), it was okay, but the only complain i have is the Aircon Fan is abit loud for my taste.

did anyone here see what Ford's marketing team did to the focus? I say a very smart marketing gimmick. Giving a preview of it right before the ateneo la salle game.

If the civic comes here with the newly developed 1.8 li. i-vtec engine.

Forget the focus, it's no match for the civic.

the upcoming 1.8 li engine is too new and no performance credential to back it up. except that its made by Honda. personally i would prefer the Altis proven VVTi 1.8li. its powerful enough yet very refined & frugal. anyway, honda tried to be more adventurous with the new civic but the pix doesn't look good at all even inside the cabin. the 2-tier type dash panel looks like lola's minivan for my taste. u be d judge.

Uh yeah. Of course it's going to look bad if you take a passing shot and then blow it up.

2006 Ford Focus or 2006 Civic

Honestly, this is a question that is becoming more and more difficult to answer with the passing of each day. Passing glances and first impressions of the Focus failed to evoke any emotion within me. Yes, to me, its that bland appearance-wise. I rather get the Mazda 3 2.0l. Same platform and maybe even better innards!

On other hand, the Civic, is turning into a bigger and bigger disaster as each spy photo begins to make its rounds on the net. What a pity! This is the very model that Honda claimed it is pinning its every hope of attaining business growth from, in the coming years.

With such hideous recent designs from Honda, I'm beginning to think that Chris Bangle has been moonlighting there during his coffee/lunch breaks, summer/winter vacations, etc. !
