Km/L is 8 sa city and 10 to 11 naman sa highway.

Long driving? Starex is known to be the van that never overheats, palitan mo lang yung plastic water reservoir ng radiator pag brownish color na, it tends to get brittle over time (2 years?) Tested na ang starex sa akin, mine already went to baguio, mt. samat and recently lang - puerto del sol, bolinao. I drive from Pampanga to Bolinao without any stopover...nag CR lang once ng nasa Pangasinan na kami so imagine the stress it took. Temp reading is always at 8 o'clock.

    Aircon pala is nissan like

    Hi Sir,

    Ok,

For horsepower rating. TCI (100 horsepower) CRDi (145 Horsepower)w regard to
nominal that i have to check.
For clearance, i am pretty sure that will not be a problem. Because i have
passed all the bumpy roads (like Isabela, Baguio, Ilocos )

For airbag, driver side only ( satndard).
    Only CRDi has ABS.
yeah with TV Monitor and DVD player..

Options : Carrier and ladder ( 24,000.00 genuine, 18,000 replacement)

    Regards,
    Marco

I suggest XUVI.When it comes to durability, economically and dependability you should
go for XUVi.It also has a better fuel consumption. If your really looking for a diesel you
should go for Isuzu XUVi. Isuzu is really known for being the best when it comes to diesel engine. If you want sir a complete specs i could send you thru e-mail just send me your e-mail add.

We had a Crosswind XUV, and sell it already.

    Matipid kung sa matipid.

Putol pipe ng tambutso (common problem ng crosswind up to now)

Sobra ingay (want to experience driving an elf, GO BUY THE CROSSWIND)

Leaf spring issue (natatabingi, AGAIN common sa crosswind up to now)

    Mausok kahit naka idle

matagtag FLEX RIDE matagtag pa rin

BUY A CROSSWIND AND DRIVE LIKE A TRUCK

BUILT (LIKE A SARAO JEEP/// now that's durable isuzu for you)

Sa Isuzu Crosswind kasi parang makina lang ang alam nilang buoin. Its as if they forgot that the rest of the vehicle needs to be good as well (alam naman ng mga Tsikot Crosswind owners ito).

I almost recommended one to a friend. When I checked one out:
*Rear side doors open very narrowly
*They can't even get the badges straight
*Crude way of folding the rear seat. Makes funny noises while driving, too.
*The numerous self-disassembling tailpipe and misaligned frame stories here at Tsikot
    *The ride, even with flexride
*Lots of cheap touches inside and out

I'd rather live with the 'lousy engined' Starex. More people friendly, more comfy. Has nice little touches you can appreciate when you spend a significant amount of time on the road.

been an owner of starex since 2001 upto now, bought it 2nd hand 1998 model. Also have a good friend who owns Xwind xuvI. Ill follow Robert's chronology of categories.
    1. durability i believe is a toss up given the inherent strnegth of diesel engine. Mechanically Starex has weakness (mine is bushings, xmission support and electrical) but mind you parts are very cheap.
    2. Space? Clear winner is starex by a mile!!
    3. int/ext looks? Xwind slightly ahead in ext look due to its SUV style + badly redesigned nose of starex. Interior though Starex is clear winner.
    4. Resale value? both are good but Starex just recently held its value due to 2004 JD Powers report citing Hyundai as #2 in quality in US market. Bought my 1998 starex php500k in 2001, i can sell it easily now at php350-380k. 3 year old starex average depreciation just 30% at most. Same or better for Xwind.
    5. Fuel consumption - Crosswind clear winner due to low pressure turbo diesel vs. high pressure for Starex. Better Crosswind mileage with normally aspirated diesel engine.
    6. spare part/maintenance cost - Clear winner is starex, parts in Banawe are 50% cheaper than dealer price and easy to locate, they're everywhere. Isuzu's is pricier and more difficult to find. Tip for you....have dealer do a 30 pt. check for every 10,000km and if they find a trouble, take it elsewhere...buy it and have it repaired in Banawe.

    Hope this helps.......

Among your choices, sa Starex na ako. A good van is always classier than a good AUV. AUVs kasi give this notion na 'pang-harabas'.

Suggestion lang, take a look at the Innova. Or the Hi Ace.

i think yung Starex GRX CRdi ay bago na yung grille(ala-Audi single frame grille),ABS with 4 wheel disc brakes at bagong GRX stickers, nasa 1.220.000 pesos yung A/T variant.

sa kin naman, I'd rather have a reliable car(or engine) than creature comforts. I've had 3 or 4 engine breakdown experience and its really hard to recover esp if you are in a remote area. I've had breakdowns going up to baguio and tagaytay, in the middle of NLEX (which is like nowhere ) its really hard to get help. very costly too, and the trauma! Ngayon lagi kong tinitignan yun temp guage hehehe

back to the subject, ganda ng current starex! so so roomy inside. and plush interior esp. the gold crdi variant. the faux wood is not to my liking. I've got to ride shotgun on my friend's white crdi gold. nice suspension. interior is very very roomy and the beige color scheme is executed well. CRDi engine gives out ample pulling power and we were fully loaded(we on our way to a lunch out ). auto climate control na rin sya which is nice. When it first came out, I thought it was from the movie I, Robot - pertaining to the facelift it has But price is somewhat steep at 1.4M hmmm... I think the starex has been out since 97 or 98? Although old, but hyundai has done a lot of tweaks to the present model(I pressume) and its a nice package overall.

have a 2001 starex a/t club edition. i really like the looks, riding comfort, very roomy and engine performance is adequate. the interior is like the new gold series. whether you get the grx or gold series am sure you wont regret it. this had been with me for almost four years now and have no plans of replacing it. i really fell in love with this van.

Starex. Especially if it's the new CRDi model.

Consumption on our non-Turbo '98 model was about 8-9 kms/l
