October 18th, 2006 08:59 PM #2call it indecision on my part...
I've actualy purchased the ALTIS 4 weeks ago.....am quite happy with the purchase.....
but now an opportunity to consider an alternative an Automatic transmission CIVIC vti-s 2005 at that....(daughter priority again comes into play)....
so here comes the dilemna....is it really worth considering at all?

Try to test drive the Civic and there you can decide. The '05 VTi-S has 4 wheel disk brakes and is a/t already so if the mileage and condition are similar then why not? Maintainance cost has a little edge towards the Corolla but the Civic isnt far behind (plus every 10,000kms lang ata service requirement for the Honda). On gas mileage, the Altis has an edge... esp. if yours is a m/t and the civic is a/t.
It will boil down to preference IMO. I was faced with the same dilemma before (Altis vs. Civic) and it was a test drive of both that made me decide on the Civic (my space and driving feel preferences favored the Civic).

Pearl white isnt that hard to maintain as compared to black or dark blue. You just have to soap and wax the car once in a while to keep the paint nice and clean (libag free).

Definitely the manual car for running costs and fuel consumption.
Depends on which car she finds easier to drive, I guess... but if you've already got the Altis, keep it na.
