Emong: You mentioned na naka lightweight BBS yung Civic mo, yung Altis ba stock mags? Baka dun nagkakatalo. Yung friend ko kasi may Altis din na 1.6... nakaka 9km/li sila.

in the first C! 1.6L sedan comparo... the Civic A/T was the slowest to 100kph (16 secs). they theorized that is due to the lousy tranny.

March 23rd, 2005 04:05 PM #640~2500 rpm 12 valve mode siya. Then pag lampas ng 2500 rpm gagana ang 16 valve mode but take note low cam profile pa rin ang gamit. Pag dating ng 4800 rpm gagana yung racing cam profile which has longer duration and mas malalim ang bukas ng valve.

Share ko lang experience ko.
96 Civic VTi M/T - Quick in 1st and 2nd gear, but rather slow acceleration in 4th and 5th. This is probably because of the higher power but lower torque.
96 Corolla GLi M/T - Adequate acceleration in all gears but strongest in 4th. I can really feel the torque advantage.
They are both 1.6 but have rather different driving characteristics. Like one of you said, Hondas are made to be revvy, so they're happiest near the redline. You need to work through the gears if you want brisk acceleration. The slick gearbox is a great joy to shift anyway, but at the expense of fuel economy due to plenty of revs. Toyotas, on the other hand, allow you to shift to higher gears earlier, due to more torque. They offer good acceleration in any gear, which means you tend to save more fuel.

For the last 12 years Toyota na ang binibili namin.
LiteAce, 1.6Gli Corolla, 2003 Rav4, (VX200 Revo=for sale, reason, gusto namin ng mas malaki pa, so we are looking at the Prado or the Seqoiua) (Tama ba spelling ko dun?)
Dahil, IMHO, napakatibay ng engine ng toyota.
For example, LiteAce namin binili ng 1993. After 10 years, wala pa ring kaprobleproblema yung LiteAce namin, nakakaakyat pa ng Baguio ng walang kahirap hirap. Hindi nag hihingalo yung engine nya.
At pag na-solo ko naman yung LiteAce, syempre barkada night out na ito! Todo pasahero ko sa LiteAce. 15 passengers including me! From Qc (near Pegasus) to Imus, Cavite.
Sa Corolla naman, na jumpack ko na rin yan. walo kami lahat. (Not lying!) one driver, 2 front passengers, 4 rear passenger, and one trunk passenger! HEHEHE! Tibay noh?
DibA?
----------------------------------------------------------------
Although ang Honda ngayon ay may pinanghahawakan na na pangalan, sa power and speed also, kasi i have tried and tested na rin ang Civic Vti and Civic SiR, I will still go for a toyota. Tried and tested ko na kasi ito.
