June 5th, 2006 01:31 PM #32I will definitely go for the Getz...alam mo ba kung bakit maganda ang exterior looks ng Vios, kasi sobrang panget ng interior nya..
Pag sakay mo pa lang sa Vios .pagsara ng pinto parang lata ng sardinas. aadjust mo side mirrors mo manual pa.. magchecheck ka ng warning lights titingin ka pa sa gitna.. tapos steel rims?? common..

In this case, if you can't stretch for any of the CRDi models or the iDSi Honda, then a Getz is a good choice.
Poor mileage from some owners indicates "driving it like a 1.6". That's common among owners of full-sized 1.3s. They drive it at the same speed as a bigger engined car and complain about gas mileage, when in fact, they're getting poor mileage just by driving it that much harder.
The Picanto De Luxe? errrhhh... at just 15k between the MT and the Getz 1.1, it's a no-brainer... Getz pa rin.
*homer_jay: It seems you've got your eye on the Korean but are looking for reassurances... truth is, no one can say how good these cars will be five years from now, but if the Getz is anything like its spiritual forebearer, the Pride, it'll be a relatively painless ownership experience.
I'd personally fork over a little more for the bigger 1.4 or CRDi, but a 1.1 is a perfect commuter car.
But if you can afford the extra for the Vios, go ahead. It's bound to have incredible resale value, and, honestly, since all these cars have such poor interiors, who cares about the interior?
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I'd go with the Getz... the facelifted version just looks like a French vehicle (just remove the Hyundai badge).
The base model Vios just looks el cheapo (steel rims w/o wheel covers) plus the interior looks old-ish too. Not worth the extra money over the Getz.
Though personally... I'd rather drive a Kia Picanto... the candy red paint just looks nice.

candy apple red getz!
i've also seen a matrix in that color. it's pretty appealing naman..
the 1.4L getz is a gas model. the 1.1L gets as low as 12km/L when driven "like a 1.6" as niky would put it. not surprising.. a FULLY LOADED 0.66L suzuki super carry with 8 people (jeepney of the new millennium) only gets 4km/L! that's Exped territory!

2 or 3 years ago, i wouldn't buy a kia.
i still have some reservations regarding
korean-made cars. but those reservations
are fading as quickly as gasoline prices are rising. hehehe.
