    On paper the Ranger tops the Strada in power, payload, size, number of transmission gears, etc.

    But that's on paper. Real world results vary.

    Practicality = Strada
    Power = Ranger

    My mind goes to the ranger but my heart goes to the STRADA!

    In terms of fuel efficiency, since they are same common rail, magstrada ka na.. Mas malaki yong displacement ng ranger kaysa strada kaya mas matipid ang strada kaysa ranger.

    In terms of reliability naman, since parehas silang bagong model at yong technology nila ay parehas din, kung ano na lang yong malapit sa puso mo yon na lang yong kuhanin mo.. Pero interms of power and performance, mas go ako sa ranger. Tested na yon sa mga off-road trekking ng sierra madre at pinatubo trail.

    Bias ako since Mitsu fan ako...

    In terms of offroad performance... Both have its strengths and weaknesses, parang LC and Pajero lang yan.

    Pero kung offroad - I'd go with the Strada, I hate to see that cheaply made electronic 4WD switch of the Ranger. I checked the Ranger's electronic switch and it looks like it was taken from a part of a 10 yr old toy and it was loose.

    Easy Select 4WD is already tested since 1st Gen Pajero's. They are sturdy and reliable. Plus, offroadability of the former Strada is awesome and its still in the new Strada btw. If you dont believe in Mitsubishi's reliability in Dakar just because they have different suspension settings or a totally different car. Try searching youtube for infamous rallies. Strada's and Pajero's that are almost stock are being used and they still won local rallies especially in Brazil.

    Strada can go 15 km/liter in Highways, 9-12 km/l in the city.

    Plus dont forget the chip upgrade of the Strada... The powerful 2.5 Did that produces 140bhp and 320 lb.ft. of torque can be upgraded with a simple chip making the power 160bhp and 380 lb. ft. of torque making it 4M41 Performance.

    I've had LCV's of mitsu and they're reliable as per experience. The current 4d56 has been made better and is very fuel efficient. Gone also is the black smoke. I've never had experience with ford but I hear that they're also reliable. Magkakatalo na lang yan sa ibang bagay kasi magkaiba sila ng personality.

    tnx sa reply guys , pero mas mura ata ang ford trekker sa lahat ng 2.5 engine. 971,000 . naguguluhan pa ako which one talaga. alin kaya mas ok if speaking of resale value?

    siyempre biased din ako. pero kung reliability, practicality, at dami ng features lang pag-uusapan, strada na kunin mo. in terms of reliability, subok na yung 4D56 engine sa tibay at ginawa pang million times better dahil nilagyan ng common rail system. sa features naman, san ka makakakita ng pick-up na may tire pressure monitor? or kaya power rear glass? or LCD multi info meter? or kung kulang pa, auto climate control? lahat ng mga binanggit ko na features ay meron ang strada.

    since you dont like 4x4... there is no 4x2 option for the Strada... You choose the ranger but you will surely miss the cabin space of the Strada.

    P971,000 Ranger 4x2
    P1050000 Strada GLX 4x4

    resale value strada pa din.

    yun 2nd gen na binili namin noon, 910k - 10k discount noon year 2k. nabenta namin this year lang ng 550k

    yun ata mga ranger/frontier nasa 400k+ lang

    strada kasi parang nakikisawsaw sa popularity ng diesel pajero kaya ok ang resale value

    Kung resale value ang iniisip mo, mag strada ka na. Meron akong second hand broker at sabi nya sa akin na kung mahilig kang magpalit ng sasakyan, huwag kang bumili ng ford kasi mababa talaga ang resale value with a difference of 100-150k. Among pick-ups, mitsu and toyota have the best resale value. It's more dictated by the market. The average joe buyers have the impression that ford parts are expensive though they maybe wrong, and they think there's lower demand for ford pick-ups. Mahilig din ang ford magbigay ng big big discounts pag malapit nang palitan yung model kaya yung second hand ang nagsa-suffer.

    Pero mas magandang tingnan ang ranger pag naka-canopy due to the square body. I've seen quite a few here.

    4x2 vs 4x4? hmmm......

    Ranger... bigger bed bigger payload, the HIGHEST TORQUE rating more towing capacity, front and rear LSD's coupled with the 4WD option.
