Hi folks, my wife currently owns an 02 CRV which is still in excellent condition as it only has 24,000km. We are being offered an 06 Fortuner G D4D by one of our long time supplier in our business, this particular Fortuner is in almost brand new condition as it is used very seldomly, in fact it only has 8,000km presently. I'm very sure that the mileage is not tampered. If ever this deal pushes thru, this will be the second time that I buy a car from this person, the first one was 3 years ago when I bought his 2000 Corolla XE with only 28,000km at the time for use in the office and up till now we are still using that Corolla.

Personally, I'm not really very convinced with the idea of selling the CRV to buy the Fortuner but it seems that my wife is ready to jump the gun. Inputs please, thanks!

May kaibigan akong may 2010 Fortuner 2.5D4D M/T.

Medyo underpowered nga lang pero it's better than the gen 2 CR-V.

Anyway, I think that mas bagay sa wife niyo yung CR-V tsaka nakakahinayang ibenta kasi 24thou km pa lang.

Since mababa ang mileage ng CRV mo, you can sell for a higher price at around 500+k. I've seen one in Sulit wth 58000kms selling for 545k. Then you add another 400-500k and get a 3.0D4D Fortuner. 2005-2006 models are selling for 900k-1M.

I'd keep the CRV. No offense to any Fort owners here but the Fort is seriously under powered and the cabin is so cramped (Maybe because I'm 6 feet tall).

When I got to sell my 02 Crv, I went to Toyota ASAP to look at the Fort to replace my V. But as soon as sat down (driver's chair, I felt cramped) (second row the ceiling is too low, the leg room is close to crap)

    CRV
    Pros
    - Flexible Cabin (More spacious IMO)
    - Adequate acceleration

    Cons
    - Bumby Ride
    - 6-7 km/l FC City driving
    - Gas engine

    Fort
    Pros
    - Looks
    - 8-9 km/l City Driving

    Cons
    - D4d Problems (2005 - 2006 2.5 ltr engines)
    - Tight Cabin
    - Under powered engine

Looks like were gonna hang on to the CRV for a bit longer, blessing in disguise din na hiniram ng utol ko yung driver namin, nagkwento yung driver ko pagbalik nya kaninang hapon na bigla na lang daw nag-stall yung 07 Fort 2.5 D4D ng bro ko while they were on their way to Manila Hotel this morning, I think simula na ito ng D4D issues ng Fort ng bro ko since first time daw ito nangyari sa kanila.

I talked to my wife about my bro's Fort, pati siya natatakot na rin dun sa Fort na dapat bibilhin namin. Were now eyeing Tucson CRDI or if ever may lumabas na Gen 3 Sta Fe, the current Sta Fe looks ok on the outside kaya lang di ko masyado type yung interior.
