If you are a safe buyer, get the Civic. Despite being "all new", its basically just an improved FD, which isn't a bad thing. I'd only get the Focus if I'm after the latest fad in the market. Besides, its 1.8 versus 1.6. This makes the choice easier.

The Civic 1.8S AT is just way overpriced at 948k. For only 10k more, you can get an Elantra GLS which has the ff. over the Civic:

    - 6-speed AT (vs the Civic's 5-speed, though both are good trannies)
    - 16" rims (vs 15s on the Civic)
    - Side mirror turn signal repeaters
    - Fog lamps
    - Rear parking sensors
    - Heated side mirrors
    - Leather steering wheel
    - 60/40 split-fold rear seats
    - 6 speakers (vs 4 on the Civic)

    Have to agree with Focus/Elantra.

The Yen is unusually strong this time around and it is hurting their exports as everything increases.

The Civic is a really ugly IMO. No offense to people who like it though.

The Focus Hatch and Elantra would really whoop its rear in the looks and tech department.

The Special Edition has so many features that make it comparable to other premium brands like Subaru. In my opinion, it's the best value for money among Japanese & Korean compact sedans in the market today.

/ Bluetooth Hands Free Tel. system
    / VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist)

    / Fog Lamps
    / 16" Alloy Wheels
    / ECON BUTTON
    / ECO ASSIST SYSTEM
    / i-MID

    / ABS
    / 60:40 RR Seats
    / Leather Steering Wheel

Kung ung ambiente na focus ill go for the civic no question. Pero kung ung top of the line hatch mag iisip pa akong mag focus. Mas maganda ung loob ng focus pero parang maliit nung inupuan ko. Ung sa japan theoretically the same sa thai yan pero when the time comes na bebenta mo na sigurado mas mahal ung japan made same as duon sa lancer na japan version

I just realized, I'd actually prefer the Ambiente's 16" steel rims with hubcaps over the Civic 1.8S' 15" alloys.

Pareho ko rin namang papalitan, pero at least magagamit ko yung tires ng Focus, 205/60 R16 so I can just get 16" rims. Halos 20k din matitipid mo dun.

Of course, getting 17s or larger would nullify all of this.

Best buy - Honda 1.8s at or ford focus 1.6 hb ambiente 6ps?
