    needs:
    reliable electrical services
cost effective OBDII diagnostics and tuning

    wants:
fulfill needs (see above) where the guys giving diagnosis will not say "replace this" or "replace that" at the drop of a hat, without any warranted explanation.

    nice motto.

The burb model before the most recent is the 2001-2006 GMT800 model, if this is what you are referring to, its basically a facelift of the previous model.

The unusual thing about it is that i received feedback from my mechanic shop owner that this model has certain parts that are difficult to come by, despite this being the Philippine entry model.

Apparently there are more stock parts available for the GMT400 model line rather than the GMT800 from the dealers here. I havent been able to verify this first hand, since i own a GMT400 model, and have the sweet end of the deal.

The resale value also for this model is also apparently not as good, as I have seen several models of this on the market selling nearly as much as the market value of my own rig, which is in the 450k range.

nice to know someone's setting up a group for burb owners..

i have a '96 suburban 2500 LST, diesel, 5800 GM engine... the only problem now is that i have yet to find a mechanic who is well versed with the GM diesels. i've quite a few arguments with the chevy casa's with them telling me that there is no diesel suburban...duh?!!!
