....to get a 2005 (first-gen) Montero Sport?
Practicality, low-maintenance vehicle in favor for something with a little more street/off-road creed?

Trade my problems for someone else's problems?
Only if their problems are cheaper than mine...![]()
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
maganda yung first gen montero sport.. problematic ba yan montero na first gen?? kung non-crdi M/T yan montero sport.. okay na palit sa crosswind...
If it's in good condition and you can afford to let go of the lower FC and cheaper maintenance of the Crosswind, why not? More comfort, 4x4 drivetrain, it's not a common vehicle and it's not a carnap hotcar either.
If the Crosswind fits your lifestyle and budget perfectly, and you're iffy on the condition of the Monty Sport, then think twice.

OK yang 1st gen Montero Sport. It's got the venerable 4M40 engine from the FM Pajero. Off road capabilities are also very respectable. Magandang upgrade yan from an AUV. Mura pa ang maintenance. That is, if you don't mind the decreased seating capacity.
^ Then get the First Gen MS. It has the 4m40 engine that is better than the 4ja1. Get a high quality oil filter and a good oil and oil change can be extended to 10,000kms. Tipid na rin esp if its a manual.
Mahal kasi gulong niyan vs the crosswind.
Fasten your seatbelt! Or else...Driven To Thrill!
