when i saw the mitsubishi bigwigs looking over the innova in the otis casa back in 2005, i knew the innova would be a winner. but i did not dream it would be a runaway champion..
kinda what the first mustang did to ford.. good design.. good looks.. good engine.. and almost perfect lack of assembly glitches..
mebbe the coming mirage will do for mitsu what the innova did for toyo..

tingin ko rin sa mirage ganun e. but the thing with innova, ang daming variants from J to V, diesel and gas, AT and MT. so you have a very wide variety to choose from that depends on your needs.

Thanks for the inputs guys. I finally got an approval from my grandfather's partner. We're going to settle for an Innova E diesel. Quite realistically, it's really what I need. Sturdy, seats 7, good combo of power and economy and Toyota resale and ease of maintenance. I just need yellow fogs on top of the standard 2.5E. :D

Now, for those looking for a 2007, all stock, blaze red, 'batak na batak' (160-170kph, no sweat hehe)na Innova gas. Please don't hesitate to PM me.

I topped at 185-ish km/h one time in star toll, i think top speed na yun, very near the redline eh. Kaso hirap kuha pics pag ganun na hahaha!

Awwww... gang 160kph lang? bitin sa mindanao highway yan! kahit star toll

Same with our case a few months ago,- we were looking at Crosswind(1st option), Adventure(2nd option) and lastly Innova, for our 7/8-rider short/medium daily haul. (We have a 9/10-seater GS for our long haul)....

We ended up with a Toyota badge, although I am not a fan of Toyota.......Yup, right placement of the product in the market...

My only complaint is that it uses the outdated 4A/T. When doing 100KPH, RPM is at 3000. Our other 5A/T gasoline ride is only at 2000RPM for the same speed.

That's why the MT is better (almost 15km/ltr h-way w/ ave of 100kph) but for MM's traffic, puwede na yang 4AT. hehe

Solved the problem with my old college bestfriend. The Mitsubishi Adventure.

We decided to keep the Innova still for the lack of decent offer. We thus will just give this to our agent in Mindanao for keeping. Thus, I will have a car for use in Mindanao. And the good thing is, I will get to keep my peppy Innova for Luzon trips. :D

We took the GLX SE variant.

I like the simple yet good graphics HU with NAVI function

I like how peppy it is for a pre-chambered (non crdi) diesel unit. An Adventure classic trait.

Kung nakukulang ka sa 160km/h sa Innova D4D (though I am positive it can do more than that), ito 150 lang todo birit na!

Looks like aside from innova, given the requirements (diesel, brand new, 800K budget) crosswind or adventure lang ang pasok.

How about a Van? L300 eh pasok sa budget.. Urvan eh lagpas sa budget.. I don't know about the Kia Pregios etc..

I recently came from a trip to Sorsogon using my trusty office issued Innova J VVT-i. It's blazingly fast, comfortable, reliable and almost maintenance free. It averages 7-9km/l but that just isn't enough I realized. It ate almost 60% of my trip budget on my Sorsogon trip.

I need a sturdy ride. My partner and I decided to consider ditching our gas fed Innova. Granting we could have a good deal to propose with our bosses.

We were thinking of pick up truck, a base model + big tire upgrade. Cause it might be used on country-wide trips up to Mindanao occasionally. So, I need to have a sturdy suspension on some rough stuffs in provinces. Diesel, so it won't hurt my trip's budget and it needs to have a huge cargo capacity. A pick up truck with a backpack might be perfect except that I sometimes carry 6 other people when clients come and strolls around the city with me. Which leads me back to the Innova Diesel. But I don't want another Innova huhuhuhu

My uncles won't let me get a Fortuner nor Montero, for sure. But I need to have a 7 seater. That's a must. Ballpark budget might be around 800-less than 1M.

maganda na ung 7-9km/li FC for VVTi. what is your expextation towards FC? dapat ba above 10km/li?

Innova is a good all-around vehicle. But if you want an uprade, here's some obvious choices...

-SUV/pick-up truck for some bad-ass presence on the road and confidence to negotiate the not-so-pristine conditions of provincial roads.

-Family van, if you value more seating capacity.

Most families who can afford do have these vehicles in their garage. The AUV/MPVs have their value primarily because you can combine the functionalities of these two type of vehicles. A 2 in 1 type.

hahaha. our old office adventure can still do 145km/h. alaga lang dabat sa calibration.

joke time yan pag nagovertake ka. magagalit yung mga tricycle kasi papausukan mo sila.

Per my experience though, it seems the Advie can be matakaw sa crudo when you drive it fast. But yes, for the local AUVs/MPVs, this is what i also rank next to the Innova.

seems like, nag average lang ako 11km/l qc to tagaytay trip, pero talagang mabigat din paa ko. break in ko sya, less than 180kms on the odo, i tried 130km/h parang ayaw na bumilis.

update: maganda na pala ride ng adventure compared sa old gen1 ko. softer and less bouncy. almost as good as the Innova. mausok nung break in, pero after 1000kms, medyo nabawasan ng substantial ang usok nya.
